So did Kylo just leave Vader's helmet on that snowy planet? We saw it land there and then nothing. If so, it got blowed up good.

On that note, I LOVED hwo that planet explosion looked, there was smoke and a lot of stuff that looked like it was a practical model somehow.

The main thing about the movie is, I think, we won't be arguing about the movie in 2 years, the way this site is/was still going on about TLJ.....

I didn't love the film,....but I don't feel annoyed like how I did with the last movie....I think JJ/LFL/Disney did the best they could to make course correction

I feel positive now that they have learned what they need to do next which is plan

After infinity war and end game were pulled off 100% perfectly in my mind - just how many people and how much was involved.. the scale.. I have to give it perfect. So many times in a production that big, things can go crazy bad - like half of TLJ

Seeing how perfectly marvel pulled those two off, this last JJ just seems a let down... an enjoyable let down, but it just can’t compare.

marvel had/has a plan.

disney could have... hate JJ all you want, but both his movies did major clean up, and both did a great job at that...

I wish JJ was a little more hands on as a producer at least. He may have gotten through the three flubbing the landing, but probably would have 3 movies I love 90% but instead get a movie I love, a movie that’s sort half good half bad and now another “oops... hey! Come back! Star Wars!!! We fixed! Luke likes his lightsaber!”

a lot of the twists i immediately went “lame!” Then went “ah... no never mind it’s fine...”

the reveals were just not done well.

like hux reveal made it seem like he’s resistance instead of just a guy leaking Info...

“I don’t care if you win. I just need Kylo Ren to lose”

which is a perfect line after their “THANKS HUX OL BUDDY!!!” Reaction

Anyway I missed something... what did Fin want to tell Rey? Felt they were hinting at jedi stuff... love stuff... then I don’t remember him saying.

liked Fin a lot in this one.

surprisingly, (and 10 year old me would be shocked) I really liked threepio in this.

Pretty sure Finn was trying to tell her he thought maybe he was force sensitive.

Also, I've heard in several breakdown video's I've watched people are asking when did Palpatine have time to have a son.
Not to get too far into the weeds, but uh... how long do those people think it takes to make a child?

...and on a somewhat related note... did anyone else have a brief WTF moment at the very end, when the old woman asked Rey what her family name was, and the camera pans to Luke and Leia looking like... proud parents? My thoughts were: “they did only kiss that one time..... right?”

I get what they were trying for, but it made me laugh to myself in a moment that should’ve been much more emotional, I think.

When we cut to the planet where the DS2 remains are,....was there a reason why the Falcon crash/skidded down?.....cant remember

Thats the thing about the movie,....it's sooo bad, but you just go with it,.....(kind of like JJ's attitude...**** it!!)....It doesn't annoy me,....just makes me laugh

I’m sure it will be argued, but I actually bought Kylos redemption moment.

and I’ve read multiple Han Force ghost things... I hope people still don’t think that’s what was happening there...

They would be the same people who still say “everyone died in the plane crash” on LOST

I saw it last night.
In a word, "Meh".
It was okay and had it's moments, but generally, I found only a couple of, "hey, cool" moments and maybe only 2-3 "wow" moments.
Heck, if you didn't recognize the actor, you wouldn't even know Wedge shows up in the film.
There was a line for the next showing and people in line were asking those of us walking out what we thought. I wiggled my hand in the 'so-so' signal, and said, "It's worth watching..."
I heard one of them in line say, "wow, nobody's saying it was awesome, that isn't a good sign..."

There was a line before that that the landing gear werent working... but story wise why? I have no idea... it didnt impact anything.

That was Wedge, right? With the line about “nice flying, Lando.” I thought that was a weird addition, especially considering what I thought I’d seen about the actor saying he wanted a role but didn’t get one? Would’ve been nice for there to have been something identifying him better, as one of the best pilots from the rebellion. He’s there for a half-second and then never seen again that I could tell.

I don't think anything less than that would have sold it for me.
I definitely got something stuck in my eye when Han's voice came out before you saw him.
