looks to me like some kind of superweapon built into a planetoid, rather than a complete space station. I'm wondering if the snow planet scenes we've seen are set on the surface of this planetoid-weapon?

So tickets go on sale tomorrow after the tease on Monday Night Football. This would be so much easier if they would just set a time.

The good news is my sister gave the okay to take the nephew and niece to the (rumored) December 17th first showing.

The bad news, I'm at work tomorrow adding a level of complexity to ordering tickets.

I generally am not a fan of AMC (nor of 3D), but I think IMAX 3D might be the way to go.

Either way, I really hope this isn't just going to be a rehash of previous films, there seems to be a lot of elements lifted from the the OT I just hope they've come up with something new

I think that is exactly what it will be. Disney is playing it "sequel-safe".

Most likely, I'm sure they'll be plenty of Disney Easter Eggs in there, planets with Mickey ears and Jafars flying carpet parked outside a cantina

Star Wars movies tend to have parallels and I'm pretty sure I've heard TFA is similar to ANH in a lot of ways. I was aware that Starkiller base was allegedly a super weapon, but I didn't realize it'd look so Death Star-like. Not sure how I feel about that.
