Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

To be clear that is not mine. Forgot to mention that but there are plenty of pictures to be found of things like this. First time i saw one was at a local con and was blown away.

At 0:55 we see a stormtrooper taking a prisoner somwhere. Did anyone notice that the prisoner has the same jacket that Finn wears on Jakku and the Millennium Falcon? So this stormtrooper is probably Finn...

Just wanted to circle back to this. Without spoiling anything that shot of Poe being escorted by a trooper, the trooper is Fin, I was incorrect and thought the scene takes place at w different part of the film. :)

Zero skill huh? Try putting together a LEGO Republic Gunship and AT-TE with a 5 year old trying to take pieces away to look at them! It probably took me 2 hours longer then it should have. :lol

Now that's funny... and SO true!

Am I the only person among EVERYBODY else on this thread that thinks this movie is going to leave us all mentally and physically exhausted with a HUGE grin on our faces after the credits roll?

I also think I may be mentally and physically exhausted but I'm thinking there's a decent chance I'll be sobbing like a little girl after the credits roll!:p

I don't think anyone who claims to takes zero skill to make a lego set has actually ever built a lego set.
I haven't played it built with legos since I was a kid, but I do remember how long it took to build things. And 20 years ago the biggest builds were tiny in comparison to today's kits, so I can't imagine how long it would take to build an entire set.

Speaking of SW, there's a lot of people apparently upset with the Amy Schumer Star Wars GQ shoot. I slightly understand, but I also understand that for a magazine geared to adults, if you're going to complain about the content, then maybe you shouldn't read it? Also, I haven't heard of fans complaining about the SW porn spoof, or any of the dozens of fan-made SW art that also have been over-sexualized that exists. But, that's none of my business.

Yes but try explaining that pic to your three year old who saw it in a supermarket.

How would a three-year old even see such a magazine when they're typically kept on the top shelf of a the magazine section at a supermarket? Unless the parent is stupid enough to pull it from the top shelf and pretty much show it to their child. And if that's the case, that parent may not be the best parent in the universe.

Not to mention, did we SW fans also forget this, which can also be considered "sexualized"?

Both in the same film?

However, like I said.....

My kid saw it front and center. Luckily it gave me a chance to talk to him about tasteless humor why we shouldn't support it.

GQ is hardly a hidden in the porn section mag, it's right next to Vanity Fair at the grocery store. Having said that and being the father of a 2 year old who will have to deal with these questions soon enough, I think the cover can be easily explained away to a toddler or young kid. My son has a lightsaber toothbrush, so there you go. In regards to the pictures themselves, I thought they were funny and I am not so precious with Star Wars to not be able to have that kind of fun with it. But I also understand why Disney would be miffed and deservedly so, it's their IP and they want to control how it's used.

omg, this cover is so offensive compared to other magazines like Maxim, Womens health, Esquire, many previous GQ covers, etc.
What is this world coming to, we must stop this madness, how are we suppose to live with this specific cover taking over our lifes.

but so hot and yummy, I must resist temptation

So last night I saw ant man. It was the first time I saw the star wars trailer in a theatre.

Oh my god. I've seen it 30 times already but not like this. It was beautiful. It even looked amazing in 3d. I actually HOPE they show it in 3d.

I think people are getting too upset over it. I think most people wouldn't have said a word other than that she is sucking Threepio's finger (a sentence I never imagined typing...).

In all honesty, the only people who have the right to be pissed is Disney. And they do have that right.

Regardless, I love both, Amy schumer AND star wars

I'm still upset from watching Jabba licking his lips in Leia's face and telling her she'll 'learn to appreciate' him right before he was going to rape her. (Shudder)

Amy is just prepping 3PO to give R2 a Wet Willie because even though he understands 6 million forms of communication, he ain't got no spit.
