Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

They must HATE having to walk on to that stage escorted by "Stormtroopers". God. Can't they stop with that crap at this point? Let these people have their dignity. Must they always be flanked by fan-boys in plastic suits? I love Star Wars, but there is just something terribly undignified and embarrassing about that. I shrank in my seat a little just watching it. Just seems extremely goofy.

After all the SW events they have been to, I'm sure they're used to it by now...but I know what you mean.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Carrie Fisher seems erratic and kind of spacey whenever you see her interviewed. I hope she can still act. I don't think Leia is going to be a major role in the new film/s, but she looks like she might be a bit of a challenge to get a performance out of.

Neither of them looks too enthused to be there. Given that, I can't imagine Ford doing any kind of promotion for the new film given the distance he's kept from Star Wars all these years. I think getting him on panel like this or what have you, would be nothing short of a magic trick.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

They don't look like they've been going to the gym at all. I suppose they still have 6 months or so, but still.

Maybe they've been busy with promo stuff, then for the months leading up to the movie they'll buckle down and get fit? Maybe getting started is the hardest part? 6 months should hopefully be plenty anyway.

Given the stories I've read about her during the OT, I think a "spacey" Carrie Fisher should make for an authentic Princess Leia. :lol

Aren't most folks on this board "fanboys" to a certain degree? :p

I think they are on a tight leash in regards to discussing the new films. When the announcement first came, Mark was running around blabbing all sorts of stuff and then he got real quiet like. :)

Fisher got generally favorable reviews for her one woman play Wishful Drinking. Doesn't seem like she's totally lost her chops, so to speak.

She's witty as hell when she wants to be and a lot smarter than she lets on. Is she spaced out? Yep. But she's not gone. :)
