And I realize that there were two capital ships in the battle. But the Mon calimari always felt like guests with the rebel allience. They were the "allience" part.

I know we keep saying that those frigates weren't all medical frigates, but let's look at them. They aren't designed as war ships by any means. They have the world's most prominent weak spot. They look like the type of ship that would need a ton of protecting. Are there even any guns on the studio model? It looks repurposed.

They built two Mon Cal ship models, but there were more than that in the fleet. I think the Death Star blew up two or three of them. As for the frigates they were supposedly convoy escorts (that might be EU not sure). So they weren't made to go toe to toe with a Star Destroyer.

My only disappointment with that battle was that they couldn't make the B-Wings work. I would have loved to have seen scenes of them doing torpedo runs on the Star Destroyers.

just plug and play the replica controller into the TV and off you go! that's all I really want out of this rebirth ;o)..

so, what was the general consensus of the poster released? My thought was, even in the image, old han's face had the expression of 'i'd rather not be in this poster OR this movie!' it was kind of boring.

I've always thought that about the shot where you can still see the Wampa puppeteer's arm in the edge of frame.
