Cmon guys. I love ESB and ANH but Jedi is just as good. Jedi was the perfect ending.

The Speederchase was epic. The space and saber (too short) battle awesome, the temptation and rage great. It was epic and better, yes I am saying it,..better the ESB.

Puppet,...Puppets!!!! You wanna talk puppets. Can you say Taun Tauns and Wampa. Still both better than any CGI crap.:devil Sorry. Maybe too harsh.

I feel like ROTJ is the unwanted step child and honestly after everything I have read here I still don't get the dislike from OT fans. Honestly, no kidding,..I love ESB but I have never understood why everyone thinks it's better than the others. I honestly think all three are excellent, Jedi just is my favorite. I think because it's the one that is Vader's story and the one I think that has the most heart.

Thats how I took it and I'm sure quite a few others did as well

But does Rey at the end where she's defeats Kylo use her anger of him taking out Han and Finn. Much like Luke defeating Vader in ROTJ. She smashes kylo and seems much more powerful and really leads me to believe she's Lukes Daughter.

Fresh and inventive is not what I was thinking at all...it was good but characters make the same decisions or accidentally being saved leading to similar decisions from the OT isn't fresh. There were some cool ideas, like the Stormtroopers anti light saber baton, and cool new TIE fighter paint jobs. It was a very well done homage. With perhaps the seedlings of a good idea sitting in there. Hopefully they come to fruition later. Otherwise I felt like some motives and plot lines were too similar to call it fresh and inventive.

It was a great way to introduce my family into the film, the actors did great as well. I particularly like Fin, his plight was done well.

The first spin off movie is Rogue One which takes place before Poe was born.

Without being repetitive with all my other comments expressing my overwhelming positive feelings about the TFA, the only thing I will add is that seeing this movie in a theater on opening night was the most fun I have had seeing a film since 1983.

A lot of confusing elements in this film and far, far too many familiar elements rehashed. I expected a certain amount of that, so for me the biggest problem was the lackluster characters. If Finn dies I'm fine with it, I'm not invested in that guy at all and wouldn't miss him for an instant. I liked Rey because there's mystery to her, but her sudden mastery of the Force is quite a horse pill.

And the good guys are only as effective as the bad guys, and this film's villain was a wimp. BIG mistake taking the mask off, he just looked like a snot-nosed punk and not intimidating at all. And if you've got the stones to introduce another masked villain then you'd better bring your A game, son, because you've got the biggest shoes in the galaxy (and filmdom) to fill and this guy wasn't a patch on Vader's rump. I hope Poe has a bigger role next time.

That being said, I still had enough fun with it thanks to Han and Chewie. It looked great as well. Loved having the Graflex back.

1. It was a geniune fun ride...just like ANH and ESB
2. Han dies...a shock, but had to happen, like Obi Won in ANH
3. I liked all the new characters, Rey, FInn, Poe, Kylo (Ben) Ren...great cast for the next films
4. BB8..I thought he was dopey looking in all the pre press, but he's a great replacement/sidekick for R2
5. Loved the downed Star Destroyer.
6. Way more Stormtroopers
7. Holding out to see Luke at the end was genius and making him a legend/myth was inspired.

I think Kylo is just a Sith groupie that understands the Force but isn't a natural, like Rey. I loved that he was constantly whipping his helmet off and having epic lightsaber tantrums.

Yes. Good shots of Star Destroyers, looked amazing in iMax 3D! I enjoyed the effective Stormtroopers! I really love the fact that they have a personal vendetta against Finn and I know that Cpt. Phasma will play a role. (I'd be very disappointed if she doesn't)

Waiting for Luke was like a fish out of water for 2 hours...then the choice of no dialogue - stroke of brilliance even if torturous.
