Ah I haven’t paid attention to that blaster much, is the component the only found part other than the scope?

just to be clear, this is not the exact transistor/part for the scout blaster,
see on this photo, the two on the right are correct for the blaster, the one on the left is like the one you found on the calculator, the base plate is different:

not only the base plate but the IC can itself! looks like they used a rounded one which would be much more comfortable as a handle greeblie lol thanks M!

Yes, rounded and the lowest profile as showed in my photo above, there are a lot of other versions with a higher can
