STAR WARS Rebels new animated series!

Me too. Along with the implication that even though Sabine can't wield the Force, she can still make a connection through it. I also thought it was cool how he described the difference between blades and lightsabers. How the fields are drawn to each other, and the way they seem to stick together exchanging energy.

yep, i like that too. there is something fun about characters who don't have special abilities get the same level of training and respect the ones with abilities do.

Count Dooku's appearance didn't change. Also if you look at the Emperor's change it was shown that a lot of Force Lighting was being deflected back on him from Mace Windu's lightsaber. I know what used to be cannon but this might be new.

That all started in the old EU where it was assumed Palpatine looked all shriveled up from Dark Side use. After ROTS we know that's not true. I'm not sure what the downside is other than Jedi constantly want to kill you and that you have to be angry to get your power to work. Well to get your power to work really well anyway.

That was always my assumption and would have been a far better explaination than the ridiculous Windu incident. I don't remember Luke suffering any lasting effects of Palpatine's sustained force lightning attack. Just another detail the PT effed up along with the force ghost explaination.

Ok, as no one is asking, I'll tell ya. In the OT, Obi Wan, Yoda and Vader/Anakin all new they were about to die. They all had the chance to accept it and make the ultimate connection to the force thus becoming ghosts. All the Jedi that died in the PT were cut down in mid battle and did not have that same chance and that's it. Which, to me seems like simple explanation rather than George Lucas forgetting to make QGJ disappear then having to retcon an answer when he was called out.

Even as far back as the first movie Obi-Wan explained The Force to Luke this way: "The Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us. It binds the galaxy together." To me, this means anyone can learn to use The Force, but (midichlorians aside) it seems some have more of a natural affinity than others. I'd compare it to learning how to play a sport like basketball--anyone can do it, but not everyone will become the next Michael Jordan.

So again fans know the story, but Lucas didn't? Fans made the assumption that ALL Jedi go into the Force. Lucas never told you that.

Er Qui-Gon died a bit suddenly I would say!

Also in the newest Star Wars Show they talked a lot about how Rebels weaves into the movie canon. They even showed how the Vader part at the end, where he fires up his lightsaber, is the exact same shot when he fires it up in the Season 2 finale!

Yeah, that's what I said. The point is when he didn't disappear like the Jedi of the OT, SW fans questioned it. So GL made up some crap about him learning how to be a ghost then teaching Yoda and Obi Wan and presumably Vader(?) My explaination still stands as a better, less BS answer.

Thats exactly what Lucus told me. Right at the end of ROTJ. All featured jedi joined with the force and became ghosts. Don't forget the OT came first.

Obi Wan didn't disappear when he died. He surrendered himself body and soul to the force and disappeared before he was struck. Take note that Vader seems surprised by Ben's total disappearance. Why else feel around on the cloak with his foot?

I also believe that Yoda's last bit of life (brain activity) was used to do the same thing.

So you probably don't have to do this when you are about to die but it's probably going to be a one time trick.

However I think I read it in the Annotated Screenplays that in an early draft of Return of the Jedi, Ben was going to come back in the flesh and help Luke take on Vader and Emperor on the Lava planet but scrapped the idea as it undermined Luke's Hero's Journey story.

i have heard the same thing

Interestingly, I was watching a trailer for ESB the other day and it was put out before they did the "ghost" effect on Ben.

So he was fully there in the flesh.

"Snoke was quite handsome when he was younger. In my mind, the more powerful he became the more the dark side consumed him."

Gollum is Snoke.

It's becoming more and more clear Convorees are like sentient creatures that observe the Force. Bendu as well, it wasn't coincidental he was nearby and dollars to donuts that is setting up something.
These convorees are getting alarmingly close to midichlorians.

Convoress poop out midichlorians and that is how other force users acquire them.

And if they poop on a fertile woman the woman will get pregnant and have a Force baby that may, or may not, bring balance to the Force.

Question to the diehard SW crowd over here...
In episode 3.13 at min 20 there's a hydra decorated Star Destroyer... is this a first canon-wise?
