STAR WARS Rebels new animated series!

i'm re watching clone wars and up to season six. the odd jar jar and mace team up episode.

I have no doubt that Mace COULD have survived the attack from palpatine. Jedi shake off sith lightning like it's nothing sometimes...all he had to do was recover, or land in a flying car and he'd be fine. wouldn't it be funny if he went to Jar Jar as the only safe place to hide on Naboo?

My headcanon has an old and crotchety Mace, with a pair of cybernetic hands, being the impetus to get Luke out of his cave and back into action.

Frankly, if they could concoct the absolutely ridiculous scenario where Darth Maul survived being sliced in two and falling into a deep shaft, then technically anyone could survive most anything. That's the unfortunate precedent that has been set. Sure Mace survived! I mean, why not???

what's so rediculous ;o)? Maybe mauls species entire vital organs are kept in his upper body, allowing him to survive the loss of his lower body. the lightsaber cauterized the wounds, so no loss of blood. He fell down what was obviously a garbage shaft in the naboo plant, and got sent to that world, where he survived on hatred, using the force to sustain a robot body of spider legs. seems pretty plausible..what's not believable ;o)

Yeah, he sadly doesn't look quite as cool as the concept art but I do like the continued mining of unused concept art. I wonder if the concept was originally a Ren Knight?

That was George himself who decided to bring back Maul.

I wonder what/who he was suppose to be in ep7?

a Knight or Ren most likely.

Just watched it and good grief I agree. That one was rough. The first season was generally decent but this season has been horrible so far...

So far I definitely prefer season 1 as well. I don't mind these episodes for something casual with my son but I do hope they improve.

Ok just watched the latest one. Wasn't too bad. Chopper with guns was amusing. Don't mind Hondo as a character. Enjoyed him in CW.

I about cheered when I Saw hondo in the trailer. jim cummings is always a joy to watch. plus, hondo kind of sounds like leatherhead without the cajun accent.

he didn't dissapoint this episode either.

Honestly, I've been kind of underwhelmed by Rebels as a whole. Especially after just watching Clone Wars, where I was captivated one episode after the next. With Rebels... while it FEELS like star wars, it feels like DISNEY star wars. it's far too simple and no real danger. the action is also slower. about the only thing I was shocked b y was when the inquisitor chopped those two imperials heads off.. other than that, I haven't really felt the need to rewatch this series yet. there's just no need to as it's nowhere near as deep.
