To be specific: Spark happened 14 years after Revenge of the Sith (5 years till A New Hope). The Current episodes are taking place 15 years after Revenge of the Sith (4 years till A New Hope). Remember that the Empire was declared during Empire Day happened just short of the end Revenge of the Sith. So that is roughly the mark of 14 changing to 15. Probably a few days/weeks passed from the declaration to the actual end of the movie.

I still laugh when I read posts by adults complaining about cartoon characters that kids love. Like I keep saying, this show is not for grumpy 40+ year olds!
While I agree with this...
Everything feeds into one canon now, so a children's show can impact the overall product of SW... even the parts that are marketed towards the adult viewers.
It does but ALL of this is being overseen by the Story Group and I strongly believe they have a very clear road map as to how canon is going to work going forward and the inclusion of characters like Rex and Ahsoka isn't hapinstance or indulgence, it's part of that plan.

Star Wars isn't for grumpy people period regardless of age. I suggest the grumpy people find other TV shows or movies to watch. If engaging in anything Star Wars does not make you happy, then you are missing the point.

THAT we can 100% agree on. I fully understand I am an adult watching a children's show when I watch Rebels, so I definitely hold it to a different standard. When I talk to kids about the show I just say things like "Oh, you like Rebels? I like Rebels, too." I don't discuss plot mechanisms, character development, or canon impact with them.
However, my personal opinion is that Filoni has characters that he personally REALLY likes and he fits them in when he can. We can agree to disagree on that and how that is executed. Like you said, we're adults.

I merely expressed a portion of something that I didn't fully agree with. It does not ruin my mood just because I watched it. If mentioning that I didn't like a certain aspect of a show makes me grumpy, I don't even know where to go from there.
He definitely does and those choices are supported by the Story Group and likely the Marketing Dept. Ahsoka and the Clones can drive other media and products.

Well, I initially brought it up and it wasn't directed at you.
Or Mara Jade either. Whenever I read "I hate that character in this cartoon" coming from an adult and then others say their kids love that character it ticks me off because all I care about is that kids happiness.

If you are not a grumpy person who watches Star Wars, then how can you take offense?

That remark is unfair. No one is happy 100% of their life. But I don't sit and watch Star Wars with a scowl on my face if that is what you're getting at.
It's also unfair to imply that a person who takes issue with creative decisions, casting, plot devices, etc with their favorite franchises automatically makes them a grumpy person, or somehow that automatically makes them a "hater" of the franchise. That is what I take offense to. Just because a person might have a negative opinion of something shouldn't make them a grumpy person. And hoping to discuss those elements with people who also enjoy the show shouldn't automatically be dismissed, right?
Maybe I am in the minority here in taking issues with certain aspects of Star Wars, but that should not degrade my opinion, right? To discount a person as "grumpy" just because they disagree with something is not fair. Especially since I express a much larger amount of joy over Star Wars than I do discouragement. I think that goes for a lot of Star Wars fans... even those who do not like certain elements of it, and discuss those elements openly on these forums.

I think your apparent upset is a little misplaced. And I know you are taking a tongue in cheek comment a tad too seriously.
