Introducing Zeb Orellios
Already like him, I get the impression the stormtroopers aren't just canon-fodder here, I like that![]()
Wow. They're really going out of their way to not feature any female presence in this show. The only female presence I've seen so far is a female mechanic who just happens to be a Twi'lek. Cripes, it's like they actually wanted a female twi'lek to be the ship's mechanic just so they can find an excuse to get her dirtied up every episode. A lack of any mention of her character in these "character" videos doesn't show any signs of promise.
Huh? so far there are two main female characters in the main cast... Hera and Sabine!

yeah, and both of whom will likely have their own big reveal. Nice call, Jeyl. :/
Spare me. We are still dealing with a franchise that, even in the mindset of the 21st century will reduce the only relevant female character of an entire trilogy into a suicidal wife who would rather die than live without her abusive and murdering husband. If you think this series will be any different, just watch the Clone Wars. Ahsoka wasn't even allowed to finish her own mystery that so far looks to be her very last story. Don't want to overshadow Anakin because he's the star of the show. What makes you think this series will be any different with the same folks in charge?
I would take the time to explain why every single thing you just said is wrong but it is obvious that this is a case of haters gotta hate. :facepalm
I feel bad that you are missing out on some of the great and strong aspects of female Star Wars characters. :cry
I would take the time to explain why every single thing you just said is wrong
Really? Because it certainly didn't sound like Padme died of any injuries.
Agreed. Now figure out way your statement is incorrect.
Uh,
"Medically she's completely healthy, but for reasons we can't explain, we are losing her."
Hmm. Force choke wouldn't have done it since Vader has choked officers for much longer AND upon being released they seemed perfectly alright.
"We don't know why. She has lost the will to live."
So despite nothing being wrong her, the robots draw the conclusion that she is literally willing herself to die. How exactly does that make my "didn't sound like Padme died of any injuries" statement incorrect when the medical robot says she has no injuries? I don't think it's unreasonable to bring up the fact that the only female character in the prequel trilogy literally gives up on life, her children and what not. But that's ok, at least she can die knowing that there's "good" in Anakin, because he's all that should matter to her.
Nope. Not it. Think it through.
Regardless, how Padme died is largely irrelevant in the greater scheme of things
Besides, Star Wars is space opera and strong female characters never featured that prominently in the genre so why would you expect there to be a lot of them in the franchise?
Wikipedia said:Space opera is a subgenre of science fiction that often emphasizes romantic, often melodramatic adventure, set mainly or entirely in outer space, usually involving conflict between opponents possessing advanced abilities, weapons and other technology.
Google said:a novel, movie, or television program set in outer space, typically of a simplistic and melodramatic nature.
Dictionary said:a television or radio drama or motion picture that is a science-fiction adventure story.
Sorry, but not every show can be Xena and I'm sure that you ,Jeyl, probably found it lacking in strong female characters too because of her dalliances with male characters like Hercules, Ares, and Caesar and because Gabrielle wasn't the equal of Dena.
No, I am content on you being wrong in a non-specific level as well. Your choice.
In a non-specific level? How can one argue or complain if we use terms in such vague and unspecific ways?...
