STAR WARS Rebels new animated series!

Yoda is obviously just short of an axe murderer! C'mon he was obviously talking about dealing with loss and not letting go after someone has died.

Dealing with the loss of a loved one is a very important and emotional experience. No one can refute that. But that's not what's going on here. Unless Yoda has a different definition for the word "Premonition"

pre·mo·ni·tion
ˌprēməˈniSH(ə)n,ˌpreməˈniSH(ə)n/
noun
- a strong feeling that something is about to happen, especially something unpleasant.

than the whole "dealing with loss and not letting go" shouldn't apply here. They're not gone yet! It's like telling someone they can't buy these eggs because they've expired when they have a whole month left. The eggs haven't expired and this person isn't dead. Quit dwelling on how it will end that hasn't come yet an do something about it!

No Yoda was asking "Hey you sure you want to risk that?"

Everything is a risk to a coward and a quiter.

No, she loves him but loves her job just as much if not more.

Yeah. It's not like her position involved dealing in a political system that determined the well being of galactic civilization. Between loving a person who openly admitted to genocide and loving a job where you can work to make the galaxy a better place, loving the latter more is not a downside. Especially when you consider that her commitment to her job saved her home world from being controlled by the freaking Sith.

I don't blame her necessarily, but I think Anakin's fall is more nuanced then many give it credit for.

Problem is that in order for his fall to have that nuance, it needs a lot more material that the movies unfortunately do not provide. Now it's nice that the Clone Wars has given the prequels material that helps Anakin's fall NOT look like a poorly written characterization, but why does it have to come to that? I've seen Individual movies that have greater character development far more believable than Anakin's fall, and he had three whole movies. Having these movies come with "Required Reading" in order to make the writing not come off as completely lackluster just doesn't sit right with me.

I just watched a 3 episode arc of Star Wars meets The Little Mermaid in Clone Wars. That show is 100% dead to me.

Rebels for life!

Just saw the new episode. If you ask me, this was the first good episode they've done. They actually hit the mark

almost forgot how much I like this show. It's clunky, sure, but it really gets something about Star Wars that I haven't seen outside of the OT, ever. It's just damned exciting to see something like this, to be watching a Star Wars show that makes me feel like I'm a kid again.

also really enjoyed the way this last episode dealt with the hokey mystical side of the force. A great exploration of the Dagobah cave test.

No 6-day early episode on Watch Disney XD?

Oh well, I got this thing to occupy my time till the next episode.

The second half hasn't started here in Canada yet (that I know of) but that clip at the end of "Rebels Recon" (the card game) had a step up in animation acting... so here's hoping it continues to get better.

nothing worse than good voice acting with stiff, emotionless animation.

this show still feels a bit too 'simple' to me. Even in the original star wars there was an element of danger to it. not so much here.....

but it 's always great to hear frank. As good as tom became, he's still nowhere near franks quality with yoda.

Well, you do have to take into consideration that this is still, ultimately, a kid's show that it happens to speak to adults doesn't change the fact that it's not meant for adults. Because it's a kid's show it's almost inevitable that it's going to be a bit on the simple side to keep things from going over their heads but if Clone Wars is any indicator things are only going to get more mature as the series goes on.

Apparently we'll see Lando tonight... nice.

Finally saw the last episode (Ezra builds his saber)... and liked it a lot. If I was watching as a kid, I would been watching from behind the couch. It was good.

I mean is still has too much of a kiddie edge to a lot of the humor, but not enough to push me from the show.

And I kinda like BOTH the lightsabers in this show. IF someone did full metal replicas, I'd have to consider adding them to the collection (and I have no prequel sabers, save yoda's).
