As an intellectual exercise i decided to have a conversation with my 6yr old...lol
To get into a childs head , not to push my viewpoints on Kenobi but just to see how he views it.

Here is how it went: Enjoy

me: Isaac, do you think Obi-wan should be with Luke or Leia?
Isaac: definitely Leia!!
me: Well who is going to watch Luke then?
Isaac: His Aunt and Uncle
me: So you think they can protect Luke better than Obi wan?
Isaac: They must have blasters or something
me: What if they don't?
Isaac: Then they can order a lightsaber on ebay or something

I just got mic dropped!!

Me: They are hunting Obi-wan, don't you think that puts Leia in danger?
Isaac: Dad, he's a Jedi!
Me: Yes, he is Isaac...Yes he is.

...That concludes our message, we will now return to your local scheduled programming

Not sure it was mentioned yet, but here's some hack dialogue that made my head spin...

Was gonna just write it out but of course it's the internet so found it on youtube....

this is the kind of stuff that bugs me... this is just lazy writing or something needed to be cut for time and the editor was like "yeah... kinda makes sense..."

Of all the nitpicks I read on here... most don't bother me or take me out of the show... but this scene for sure did....

Did George try to promote a agenda then cut some of his movie and change the movie poster because the market he wanted to reach did not approve of it?
No, but that's only because the concept didn't exist back when he was doing the when George made both the OT and PT. Back when he made the two trilogies the international market was only a very secondary consideration and the studios were focused heavily on the domestic box office. Nowadays, the overseas market, China, in particular, can make or break a movie and I realize that it's hard to believe but movie studios are in the business of making money so, of course, they're going to do things to not piss off the overseas market.

Would George have allowed changes to his movies or their posters in order to appeal more to China and the overseas market? Hard to say, but lean towards yes given how much he's tweaked the OT over the years.

I figure they got everyone out on that shuttle they could. Some needed to stay behind to hold back the Imperial forces.
While that's a reasonable assumption, I think that the footage doesn't quite support this. I saw an awful lot of people just standing around doing nothing and few, if any looked like they were armed, much less ready to potentially hold off a horde of Stormtroopers.

That's my biggest problem so far. I cannot believe that Bail Organa would be so stupid to openly, even if encrypted, broadcast anything about Luke/Leia like that. That's just so stupid it defies credibility. At this point, Vader and the Emperor would have to be totally incompetent to not have connected all the dots and found Luke/Leia along with mopping up Bail and the other early Rebel leaders. Combine that with the leaks of the last episode and there's no reason Luke and Leia would survive or have been turned to the Dark Side by the OT time.

I'm starting to think, besides Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau, that whenever you hear Lucasfilm talking about the people on these shows as "huge fans", all that means is that they maybe saw the movies once and liked them. That's it. They clearly don't know as much as the random fan making SW fan films on Youtube! For god's sake go hire Timothy Zahn or some of the other good old EU writers to write something for you. The writers you have, besides The Mandalorian couldn't tell their a** from a wampa.

I get what you’re saying but that is very hypocritical. “We are woke and support you,Disney accountant walks in and says “money is the only cause to support.” I will give Disney credit, they are a loyal lapdog to China.

I would just like to know why the rebels pulled the stormtroopers into a choke point, provided themselves literally no cover (outside of a manhole lid), and no one tossed a grenade. They obviously had thermal detonators on hand, yet no one planned any tactical decisions at all? Even with my incredibly limited training, I think I could have pulled some 10 second explanations to the 25 people willing to give their lives to save the others. Anything would have been better than “stand in the doorway and let the enemy get incredibly close to us.”

Obiwan was a general in the Clone Wars and his only guidance was to fool people into listening to him give a toast.

If Kenobi has done one thing, it has sealed forever the truth, that stormtroopers can't shoot for s#*t. The scene when they finally break through the door. They were face to face with the
" rebels" and 10 feet away, and they couldn't hit a blessed thing. And who does that crap, stand right out in the open and blast away. There were crates everywhere. Plenty of places to hide behind. I guess they knew they wouldn't get hit by troopers. But come on ! At least make it look a little real. It was another scene like Leia in the woods. They just don't give a frack, not even a little one.

It reminded me of when extras get to close to one another, or when they run off/past their marks. It just doesn’t seem like Kenobi uses a single good take or camera angle.

Also, this will 100% be Brittany when we watch this drunk in a few weeks:

...and they had a box full of lightsabers at their disposal

Btw I'm not trying to be argumentative or negative just discuss because I genuinely appreciate your insights. Not a joke or placation.
But the people who Disney/Lucasfilm hires is only going to get younger (compared to us). And they're still writing these stories aiming at the youth of today.

But then again George gave the right up to someone else.

I understand that we are all going to be obsolete (hell I'm already obsolete and i'm ok with that lol) and its not a fight against that at all. The problem isn't just the target audience it's the heavy hands that execs at Disney and at Lucasfilm have that are causing so many of the issues with content. By their own admission every single event that happens in SW has to be approved. Just for continuity and for an acceptable rating? Right lol. Directors repeatedly can't work with Lucasfilm under Disney because of "creative differences." Lucasfilm attempts to publicly present itself as allowing creatives to make their own decisions but much of what is out there massively contradicts that when it comes to SW.

He did indeed sell Lucasfilm to Disney. They can legally do whatever they want with it within the confines of the sale as what is in bad taste is likely not part of the arrangement. Disney has repeatedly demonstrated that they are poor stewards of Lucasfilm and SW. There are slew of reasons for this and reasons to leave the OT characters alone which have been repeatedly laid out by myself and many others. Just because one can afford to own something doesn't mean they should or that once they own it they will take care of it.
