You never know, they could bring out these blasts from the past instead…

As long as Obiwan isn’t slowly and endlessly going through the desert on a Bantha back and forth like in BOBF.

As goofy as those are, I can understand the logic behind Kenner making an affordable vehicle option for kids with just barely enough pocket money. Then again to see this interpreted into a live action story is pretty frightening.

Honestly my only interest in the Kenobi Limited Series is the demand it will create for Jedi costumes and lightsabers, two things I have a lifelong fascination with. I've long given up hope for a worthy story, but hey if others enjoy it? More power to them! (y)

As pointless as inquisitors seemingly are I'd rather them be center of this show instead of Obi-Wan and Vader. If they make the inquisitors more ridiculous and push them deeper down the toilet, so what? Far better than doing that to Vader or Obi-Wan and less of a risk of further deeply alienating fans. If they hit the ball out of park going in that direction, great. Win win.

It’s freakn all over YouTube.. only a matter of time before they are putting it in thumb nails.. you don’t understand how much it pisses me off when they do that
What do you mean? The ending? I haven't seen anything --- OK, just googled it, you are correct. I'm trying to stay away from it and hope that nothing is spoiled here.

I was thinking about the "I was but the learner" line. So far many of us believed Vader meant the time when Obi-Wan was his master. However, maybe he was referring to the time he was Palpatine's apprentice. Then an encounter with Obi-Wan could indeed take place without contradicting the time line.

Idk how I’m gonna make it til June..

It sure would be funny if it’s not true
I told ya man, you gotta use the don't recommend channel feature for all star wars youtube channels and game channels and movie/tv. Think of it as Jedi training....

They've already snuck in references to the old SW RPG. New Rockstars translated some of the aurebesh and found a planet name that was first introduced in the old RPG game.

OMG, I feel you...

I got spoiled on something thanks to an ****** on youtube putting the spoiler in the title of the video.

I have not read or watched any of the “ending leaks” but supposedly the ending is leaked.. my friend has read it and told him he totally believes it could be true

So I warn everyone be careful out there.. pissed me off because like I was saying.. not only do I have to struggle to avoid the spoilers until the 27th.. but now 5 weeks after that as well

To be fair, at this point there's really no way you could have it spoiled or ruined. Disney will do it for you just by watching! ;)

So basically what I'm hearing from a number of people in different places is "Even though this show is likely going to suck it's better if exactly how it's going to suck is unknown to me until I watch. That way my level of disappointment can be maximized." Got it lol.

Well, looks like Obi-Wan isn't our only hope as we hoped, assuming these leaks are true... (POSSIBLE SPOILER WARNING)

I dont think its that weird that Vader delegates some work to his underlings.

Given that the number of escaped jedi is increased with Order 66, there could be hundreds or thousands of jedi still out there that Palpatine needs squashing. Each one is barely a threat to Vader, not worth him taking up his saber to go look for. So he sends out the interns to see if they can clean up the mess for him. To be honest, Im expecting Vader to absolutely dominate Obi Wan, showing that Luke really is the last hope.

I also think Vader is looking for an apprentice to have by his side so he can overthrow the emperor and become the true ruler, hence why Vader never got to get his armor upgraded. I think Lucas did mention that Vader at full potential was 80% Sidious so couldnt take him solo unfortunately but could with an apprentice to support him. Him sending out inquisitors whom are former jedi to see if any one has any potential doesnt seem that farfetched to me. To bad they truly all suck.

I agree that Im not a fan of the inquisitors, mainly because they really are just elite fodder. Since they also use lightsabers and have some force skills, they are good enemies to beat up but are also so weak that its hard to take them seriously.

Sure, no shame losing to Obi Wan Kenobi Jedi Master or Ashoka who is one of the better jedi fighters. But losing to Kanan Jarrus (apprentice and knight by lack of candidates) and Cal Ketsis (completely untrained padawan) is embarassing. So much for the dark side being the quick path to power.

Out of respect for those who don't want the show spoiled, I've added a tag. For anyone interested in my thoughts, feel free to check it out. I will warn you though. It's not pretty.

Time and again these leaks have played out almost verbatim so to claim that they're clickbait is missing the point. Sure YouTube Rant videos garner views (and that's a topic unto itself) but it doesn't negate that the uproar from fans is always preceeded by a leak that spoils how terribly the writing has been handled. It comes as no surprise to me that fans who wait it out are almost always disappointed. It's one thing to give a show the benefit of the doubt and to see the finished product for yourself so you can make a judgement, but how many leaks have to come forward before fans wake up to the fact that there's something truly rotten within Lucasfilm? How many times are fans going to keep giving these shows a chance when time and time again they are fed morsels of content that never satisfy because the writing is just gutter water?

As for the leaks themselves, I will say that it comes as zero surprise that Obi-Wan will not be the focus of the show and it also doesn't shock me in the least that his efforts and struggles as a character will only be possible if it were not for the actions of a completely different character, essentially undermining his agency, Luke's agency, and the meaning of the plot behind the original movie. The plot of this show is built entirely on technicalities, which only serve to discredit the original content, all for the sake of milking the story for more money. This is nothing new for Lucasfilm as of 2015. And if I hear some insanely stupid reference to how Leia is the Chosen One, I'm going to vomit. The Disney canon has long established that Rey is the GOAT and it's evident that nothing that happens has any meaning until she comes along. But I need not go into that debacle again.

Some things to consider:

1. If Reva (however you spell it) could be turned back to the light, then why was Obi-Wan unable to turn Anakin back to the light?
2. Why would Obi-Wan and Yoda, by extension, believe that Anakin was too fargone and needed to die if Obi-Wan witnesses first hand that the Dark Side is not a final destination, but that they both had to be proven wrong by Luke's efforts in ROTJ?
3. In ANH, Luke has never heard of Obi-Wan (he only knows him as Ben Kenobi), he's never seen a lightsaber, he has no idea who Vader is, and he has no clue what the Force is. But according to this show, he will have encountered ALL of these things, even if he doesn't understand them. And it's nonsense that he wouldn't have some sort of recollection of them when he encounters Ben in ANH.
4. If Luke is important enough, why would Obi-Wan, or HOW could Obi-Wan trust that Reva wouldn't leak their location to Vader? Wouldn't it be safer to kill her just to be sure? Letting her go would be a huge risk, even if she had turned back to the light.
5. Is Vader truly that stupid? Why would he not investigate further to ensure that Kenobi is dead? He's just going to take the word of some underling? Yeah, right.

Look, every fan has to decide for themselves what they're willing to tolerate as far as retcons and I know some fans are going to love this show no matter what it contains (or doesn't.) I'm not here to hate on anyone, even if I don't understand why on earth you could enjoy a show that breaks so much of the established canon. I can appreciate the great production design, casting, and the limited potential this show had to be an interesting addition to the lore, but that's as far as my interest goes.

At this point though, I'm not necessarily even angry, just frustrated. I've long resigned myself to the fact that this is what Star Wars is now, and has been for a very long time. I'm not going to say Star Wars is dead. I'm not going to say that I don't care at all, because it's clear that I care very much because I love this world and these characters. I'm just acknowledging the reality of what the franchise has become. If you enjoy this new outing, more power to you. If you hate it, I'm right there with you. Though I really don't know what kind of future this series has if it stays on it's current course. The fandom has been so divided and that ravine only gets deeper.

Star Wars is not dead; it's on IV drip and hooked on machines to make sure it's still breathing ($$) One could say that it's just a story, just a movie and not real life. But that's a disservice to countless people who have found their Truth in the saga.
That is: It spoke to them. It moved them internally and it shaped their life! Art does that, good story-telling does that also...but not anymore:(
