Thought it would be fun to start a thread identifying photos, props, or costumes which became used as sources for packaging/artwork on Star Wars merchandise. Let's dive in.
The 1990s Hasbro Power of the Force figures featured an image of one of the mass-produced Don Post "standard" Darth Vader helmets. Here's a photo of one:

Some of Hasbro's Boba Fett Electronic Helmet packaging artwork was based on an Art Andrews photo of TheDentedHelmet.com's own admin Webchief in his Boba Fett costume, as detailed in a thread here:

Here's a side shot of the packaging:

Ahhh, the infamous white-helmeted AT-AT driver figure:

...which came from this over-exposed ESB costume fitting photo:
photo: photographer unknown, but thank you John Daly of Facebook group 'THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980 Film)' for sharing the photo.
...What sorcery is this? Why, the helmet is actually grey in color, as photographed in person by Jez of StarWarsHelmets.com:

...appears, as Jez/StarWarsHelmets.com mentions, to be based on an ANH-era promotional photo:

...and may I humbly suggest that the original ANH photo (or one very similar to it) was reversed (mirrored) for the eventual ESB image, as some of the lighting highlights align better with the poster image:

the helmet has stayed in place...
...but the gloved hand is reversed (edit: and raised higher)
