Hi RPF, long time member here.. but I never post! Changing that now!

I've decided to jump on the Clone Wars animated series band wagon and get to work creating a Bo-Katan costume. She's one kick ass Deathwatch lady.

Next step is getting the other pieces cut out of sintra.

ever since i saw that action figure set with like 4 mandalorians i stopped paying attention to them. this one looks like if jango knocked up the pink power ranger :D btw i like your vacuform setup

This just reminds me how badly I need to start learning to use clay sculpting for props (along with building a vac table set up).

What is the bust that you built from made out of? In the near future I'll be starting my wife's Mando costume so I'm following all the good chest armor for women builds I can find.

The chest piece that I sculpt on is an extra chest cast that I use as a buck in vacuum forming, it's usual purpose is to serve as a general "breast plate" mold. It was created through a process of: 1) plaster bandages, 2) hydracal mold, 3) liquid clay (smoothing out and modifying the initial life cast), 4) hydracal mold again, and the 5) hydracal plaster buck result.

Thanks for the compliments guys, the helmet you see there is my other half's scratch built Pre-Vizsla build. No patterns used there.

I love my vac table! It's completely portable, I even installed a handle on the side so I can tote it to a friend's house if they need help :)

The rest of my armor is cut out and I'm looking at gluing, shaping, priming and sanding tomorrow. Beyond that I will be scratch building the helmet and jetpack. Soft parts will be scratch tailored as well.

Not bad, it's good to see an old fashioned sculpt once in a while. I might model this for pep eventually. Can't wait to see how it looks with a fresh coat of paint.

Had time to get a good layer of primer on all of the main armor components today. One more layer of sanding and primer, then this stuff is ready to paint! Gauntlets, back plate, jetpack and helmet work tomorrow!

Sorry for the bad images, the pieces are sitting on my sewing room floor.

Any updates available on this? Would love to see how it's coming along or how it came out! Thanks for posting!

Bo-Katan is far and away one of the coolest characters on CW. This is an awesome build! Can't wait to see a finished product!!
