Lucas is out of control its like the Third Reich at first theyre doing well then a ton of really dumb ideas from a deluded dictator, hes like the Hitler of sci fi, hopefully he;ll stop, maybe give control of the series to a real filmmaker like cameron or something
I just ordered the full set from Amazon, Why?
I umd and rrrrd about wether to just get the OT or the full set. I decided the only reason for buying the full set was my first baby is due in a few months & when it comes to the time for the little'n to sit & watch star wars with Daddy it would be unfair to not watch the PT as they wont have the 20 odd year wait to be disappointed with it.
I watched the Phantom Menace for the first time in years last nigh as I couldn't sleep & it was the first disc to hand. I actually found myself saying "it'l be OK"....It wasn't. It gets worse with age. It really saddens me to think how much better the hole PT could've been, but who am I to deny the chance for my unborn child of seeing it.
Can I be that evil? Can I bring my kid up thinking there is no PT, could I get away with it?
What if my kid prefer's the PT, oh god maybe I should cancel my order!

okay Pelosi then, seriously he doesn't listen to the voice of reason, he makes this prequel stuff that s like a concentration camp it s just torture, i mean crap like jar jar, the idiotic teenaged ruler of an entire planet an 8 yr old starship pilot the coincidence of making 3PO the gungans a planet named Naboo? its doo doo, it all needs to be redone

Yes sounds just like a Nazi concentration camp where all the inmates were really peeved about the torture,starvation,disease,medical experiments and genocide and stuff.
I really can't believe nobody spotted the similarity before.

Can't see buying this. I do admit I'm curious about the bonus material, but I'm afraid that the majority of it would be PT related, which is not something I'm interested in.
A friend once suggested to me while having a discussion way back about the SE/upcoming PT, "Why doesn't someone just remake Star Wars?". This was at the height of the remake frenzy and tv series going silver screen.
I asked, "What? I'm not following." And he continued to explain that someone (other than GL) should simply "remake" a modern release of Star Wars. New actors, new vision of the original story, etc.
I said, "That's ridicules... makes no sense! Star Wars is different from other movies. You just don't remake Star Wars (as I laughed at his obviously ignorance).
His reply was, "I don't see the difference. In fact, isn't GL already doing exactly that to some degree?"
And that's when I got it.
Not that I care one way or the other because I have my beloved memories of what was special to me about the OT and that's all I need. Nothing GL does after the fact (no matter how I feel about it) can ever take away what he originally gave to me.
With time comes change. With change comes differences... either accept them or dismiss and fondly remember the past.
GL isn't doing anything to YOU... YOU are doing it to yourself. The sooner people realize this the better off they'll be.
I'm still very entertained by the discussion, though. It's an interesting display of calculated emotional reaction.

exactly he is like a walking zyklon B canister same for "annie" watto princess amidala and her emotionless acting, all the gungans and their idiotic semen ball weapons and the ugly costumes, I mean the only thing this bad in the OT was the whiny "I was going to Toshi Station" rant and thjknig aobutit even that and the karate outfit were better than the prequals, Dachshund shaped robot soldeiers "roger roger" --puke, every time I heard that it was like George Lucas flushed credibility down the john. The Force is a little parasite in my blood-b.s. , if it is inject some into me and I'll force choke you from my living room. Boba Fett is some ugly chimp looking child, chaka with less hair,? everyhtin ahs been done to dumb down and ruin the Sw universe

Were the prequels bad? Sure they were, I can't stand them. They didn't kill anyone though!
