this morning I was busy turning a radio-controlled wall clock into a Star Trek UFP clock.

Thanks for chiming in James. Yes, this clock doesn't need to put on daylight savings time and vice versa. As soon as it receives the signal it automatically shows the correct time.

And they are a pain, I have one that suffers from interference from the apple TV and DVD player.
Keeps changing time or factory resetting!

Can it be modded to use federation standered Subspace synchronicity signals?
