Star Trek: The Motion Picture 40th Anniversary

I like things about Star Trek. I like The TOS Crew, Captain Picard, ENT and some Movies. I don't like the 24th century stuff and the unnatural behavior of nearly everyone in this shows.

I wasn't born when TMP was released. Grew up in the late 80s and 90s. So ST was kinda everywhere and In always try to like it.
I think my reply was harsher than I intended.

It wasn't harsh. It's a place here where und people discuss their passions and that isn't possible without emotions.

I know lots of huge ST fans and often discuss my dislike over the 24th century stuff with them. TMP really felt like 100% Roddenberry and even he was a great visionary, he wasn't the best writer, IMHO. Kinda like George Lucas who wouldn't have as much success with the OT without many other people.
