Star Trek Picard Season Three

Rios wore the same uniform in Season 2 but somehow on him it looks like it was made by Rubies.

Another thing I liked about this episode is that there were some moments in it where Patrick Stewart actually got his Picard voice back.
I think he got his dentures fixed, you'd be amazed the difference in clarity it makes to have good teeth, being in the dental profession myself it's a thing I notice along with dodgy clips all the time.
SirPat slurred his way through the last two seasons.. And a stage play I saw him in.

He certainly seems more energised in this series, more engaged switched on less of a doddery old chap less dialling it in..

I'm liking it so far and glad they ditched the longggg boring opening titles.

Raffi really is a waste, I think she needs to look in the mirror.... She's always wearing red!

Love the Ryker/Picard element they really spark.
Not sure we need another David type situation.

Wondering why we keep getting the V'ger music round that craft..

Hunny Bunny? made me think then it clicked, funny how she's smoking when it's not so prolific in our own century.

Looking forward to ep3

Please no characters from the last two series unless it's the cigar chomping captain, oh he got left in the past.. I forgot.

Just listening to Nitpicking Nerd's review of ep 2, I bet Vadic or some of her crew are holograms and the TNG gang have to get Moriarty and Lore to defeat her because the TNG crew all now incompetent at their jobs and need help to get even basic things done. Case in point, swinging out a plot point of the "mystery" of the young british guy being Picard's son, when a medical Tricorder or a trip to sickbay or a quick analysis of the transporter logs would answer that in seconds. Got to fill that 10 episode count somehow!
More amazing writing from the Kurtzman gang.

Not just Tricorders, but magical Romulan scanning devices that can do what Cher always dreamed about and can turn back time….

Now, please don’t cause me the agony of having to further reference the trash that was Seasons 1 and 2 any further. ;)

I'm gonna do one better and remind of this wonderful thingamajig from Season 1. :p

I also have to hand it to the costuming department. I hated the Starfleet uniforms from the first two seasons as they looked like they were trying to hard. But the third season uniform looks like a natural progression from the Berman era.

I actually liked the uniforms from season , but I agree they do look a little less Starfleet, maybe more like something from Macross/Robotech.

(I don't know if spoliers are okay (these are just comments on the so I'll 'spoiler' my comments just in case.)

Yeah, and also, how does Jack Crusher get transported onboard and put into the brig with tech on him that lets him disrupt the force field? Guess Starfleet doesn't believe in strip searches or examining the transporter logs.
Anyone else think it's a huge F-you to Wesley that Beverley named he second born after Wes's actual father? Or is it supposed to be an F-you to Picard for naming their son after her late husband? Or is "Jack Crusher" even his real name? Seems he's known to take on aliases.
Another nitpick - why does Seven get relieved of duty then go about things as normal, giving orders to crew and such to find Jack, and the Capt. Shaw commends her? Seems like he would be upset, based on what we know about him. He also just accepts Picard superceding his orders too easily - that was the whole issue earlier why he wouldn't take them to the 'whatever' system (can't remember the name, too lazy to look it up now). He said Picard was retired and Riker was just a Captain without a ship, so neither of them could order him to do anything.
Despite my above nitpicks, I'm still liking this season way more than the first two. But we'll see. I mean, the showrunner is still Terry Matalas, who I think at least co-ran things with Akiva Goldsman in the awful mess that was season 2 (and, incidentally, Matalas also blocked me and a lot of other fans on Twitter for voicing legitimate critiques of season 2). Maybe Goldsman was more responsible for things going awry last season. He's still an exec producer, but who knows.
