Star Trek Picard Season Three

I am still clinging on to a bit of hope. Then again, if the Drinker and Cawley both got to see the entire run…ahem…who gave them to them? And would it sway their opinions?
Cawley was on set. I don’t know what he was doing there though—whether he was visiting or working.

Cawley was a bit under appreciated in his time. He put passion into his project but most people focused n his acting flaws.

And, when CBS cracked down on fan films, he never showed the final episodes that were almost finished.

But, he did work with CBS to turn his sets into an experience.

He still has scoffers who refuse to accept the good he did for TOS.

Well, my understanding is that accents are not genetically inherited and must be learned by children as they grow up—my family members living in Texas prove this point, for me ;) —and “Nu-David Marcus” speaks with a British accent.

Given that Beverly is not British, it occurs to me that that the father MUST have been around when “Nu-David Marcus” was raised.

So, perhaps this guy isn’t the S.O.P.?
Red herring?

And what an experience—Trekconderoga was amazing.

I haven't watched the first 2 seasons but, I watched the 1st episode of season 3 and really liked it. So, I'm hoping the rest of the season goes this way.
I don't totally understand a few things but, I'm ok with those little things. Like Picard's wife kinda thing.

I don’t think you missed anything of immense importance really. I suspect the difference between season 3 and the other two will be night and day.

My prediction for this "season":

They kill off Worf.

I thought Episode 2 was even better than Episode 1! I haven't been this excited watching a Star Trek episode since the "In A Mirror Darkly" 2-parter on Star Trek Enterprise.

Couple of negatives: Michelle Hurd's over-acting as emotional Raffi, although the fact that her story arc is tied in with a returning legacy character being reintroduced in a badass manner (I felt goosebumps!) makes me a bit more forgiving of her. And I thought Amanda Plummer was hamming it up to the max as Honeyb... errr... Captain Vadic, so I wasn't a fan.

But I love the wordless exchange near the end between two legacy characters... so emotional. You'll know it when you see it.

Yeah…Raffi is something of a bad hangover from the first two disastrous seasons…

Also…

Excuse me while I pat myself on the back for being correct regarding the identity of her “Handler”.

Overall, I enjoyed this episode and really don’t have any nitpicks. Honey Bunny was a bit much but some scenery chewing is fine with me.

I am liking Captain Shaw more and more.

Great to see Picard acting like Picard after two seasons of being a completely different character.

You mean Jake Picard?

Am I the only one crying tears for Elnor?? Where is he? What has become of him? We are two episodes in and he has yet to make an appearance. Once I saw a head being lopped off, in episode two, I was on the edge of my couch expecting him to appear.

He evidently did not follow his attempted catch phrase and did not “…choose to live”…

Would it be too soon to start an “RIP Elnor” thread?

Yes…butterfly tears for Elnor.

I watched the first couple of Episodes of Series One & I relegated the series into the part of my brain where I store the Superman films after 1 & 2, the Alien films after Scott & Cameron, the Terminator films without Cameron, Jaws after 1 & 2, New Doctor Who & Disney Star Wars Films.

But after watching the first 2 episodes of Series 3,....it's been moved back front & centre to the VIP part of my head.

Just feels like a Star Trek Movie

Absolutely love it
