Unlimited Run Star Trek: Picard, Away Jackets, Now Taking Orders!

The leather is looking very red in these images? Is it just the lighting?
The red one is 7610c and Black leather.

Yeah sorry I meant the "black leather", unless its my monitor, but the black leather had a red sheen to it.
You`ve nailed the right pantone for the "command" colouring.

Probably the lighting combined with the watermark on the photos themselves.

That is a result of me using the photoshop auto-leveling tool while the mannequin is wearing green pants.

Maybe a photo with the mannequin in black trousers? How long are you thinking before the first lot of jackets get dispatched?
The official product photos will be taken on a live model with clothing beneath the jacket closer coloring/style to the show, a nicer camera, and better lighting. I will also spend more time in post production to verify the final pictures accurately represent the real colors of the jackets.

It will still be at least a week to get the product photo samples complete, as we are still working on getting the correct colors in the quantities needed for all the orders. We also have to make sure we have everything figured out with getting the perforations in the leather looking just right (careful examination of the sample above will show some slight imperfections in the pattern, gaps and overlayed deltas).

After the samples are complete, they need to ship to me (4-6 days) and then I'll get the photos taken and ready. Likely a day or two after they arrive.

I love that Pantone red color. It’s basically red-brown and isn’t far off from what many would consider to be a natural leather brown.

As others have said, the command ‘red’ jacket will definitely be wearable in public without it looking like you just came from a convention. I love fashionable leather jackets, and absolutely can’t wait to wear mine around everywhere in the fall time.

You both did an incredible job recreating this jacket, kudos!

Hey folks,
Finally we have done our final sample.
Have a look at these pictures and drop your text.
Cheers,

The only thing I wanted to ask about is the level of shine on the leather. I know it’s dependent on flash and brightness in pictures but the non-perforated leather of the originals has that flat/matte finish secondary to how it was sanded/painted etc.? Wasn’t certain how “glossy” this type/texture of leather would appear in average conditions. We’ve been so obsessed with Pantones I never asked about that.

This looks absolutely perfect to me, really well done on nailing the details for us all so well...

I plan to wear mine in Autumn here in Tokyo, and don't expect it to be taken as a cosplay item over "just a cool jacket", but those who know? Know.....A great balance I think...Superb work!

Also, does any one have a recommendation for the rank pins? Etsy? There's a few there, 25th century designs? I think looked rather good...The ones for this jacket seem to be the same design?

Yeah, I thought they looked the best too..Have you tried a magnet behind the leather on the jacket? Or is it best fixed on somehow? I know it doesn't really "need" it, but I probably will add the Delta on once it arrives....

I haven’t seen 25th’s but I make some. They are being painted and then I’ll share a photo on my own thread. I have a thread already for all the badges I do make.
