Star Trek Into Darkness (Pre-release)

So mothers are only important if they're absent?
I was talking about one particular movie when I said "The mother's absence in the film is clearly a major part of the story" How you extrapolate the above comment from that is beyond my comprehension:lol. Attempting to psychoanalyze JJ based on 2 films is just plain silly:wacko

He's only directed three so far, and STID will be the third if Kirk's father is mentioned and not his mother.
Right, we get you have a chip on your shoulder about mothers and have issues with JJ, I suggest you not see his films, you will surely be disappointed.:lol

I don't think this film will disappoint me. I mean, how can it disappoint when all I've got are low expectations?

I won't be disappointed because I won't see it:thumbsup. I just got the entire TOS, NG, and 7 movies to catch up on ;), by the time I work through all that Star Wars will be out :lol. If food looks bad to me I don't eat it, I can't imagine eating something I know will taste bad, just so I can say "this tastes like crap!" :lol :lol :lol

Never know unless you try.

:lol famous last words before food poisoning sets in :lol, I predict you will see it, only so you can complain about it :behave:lol

And I'm sure most will continue to read my posts just so they can complain about me. Same food poisoning, different brand.

You're a one trick pony and yet seem somehow surprised when people find you predictable?

Seriously. You eventually complain about the SAME THING in every thread. It gets tiresome.

If you want to chime in on something other than me, you're more than welcome to. But the more focus you put towards me, the less convinced I am that you are actually "tired" of my rants. And that's all they are. Rants. And for the record, I don't do this in every thread. Heck, if you look at the threads I've created, you'll barely find a quarter of them have anything to do with negative ranting.

I'm going to see Star Trek Into Darkness. Take that for what it's worth.

EDIT: Ding! Ding! Ding! My 3,000th Post here on the RPF! Thank you. /bow

Hey...I liked the first one JJ did...I don't have it on Blu-ray or anything. But it was worth a look in theaters.

It's OK to have the negative nellies...It helps keep me grounded in my belief that I should give everything a chance.

Except Ghost Rider/Nic Cage...that's turrible.
Also, I liked Avatar...
