Star Trek Containers

I've tried searching for almost every container mentioned in this thread and have only been able to find the hardigg cases. The o'brien tool box i can't find and the parallelogram i can't find either, i'd love that one!

Perhaps if people find them they could post the links?

The Hardigg cases (there are other manufacturers as well) were used almost exclusively as avionics or other fragile electronic equipment cases. Each command I worked at had stacks of them around of varying sizes and shapes. You can watch almost any of the TNG and later shows and see these used all over the ship especially in cargo spaces. The other things used quite often were sonobuoy tubes.

The O'Brien Tool Case is my obsession. Drop me a PM or email if you'd like more pix of the various O'Brien tool cases from the DS9 seasons (there were a few variations).

As for what it is... It is a VHS camera case. I know of at lease two different cameras this case was used for making the inside plastic formed 'case bits' different (I've been abe to compaire mine with one other collectors' and they are different on the inside but not the outside.)

Mine is for a Cannon VHS camera - my case says Cannonvision 8 on it. It took me a while but I found one on ebay.

The storage cases used on Deep Space Nine were always my favorite. These cases were used on the station, in Odo's office and the cargo bays, and onboard the Defiant, on the bridge and in the crew quarters.
Made by Rubbermaid, the "ActionPacker" cases were originally designed for storage of tools and auto supplies, small enough to fit in the trunk of a car, or you could also hang in on the wall in your garage. Unfortunately this style case is no longer made. Rubbermaid still makes ActionPackers but not of this design. Now the only place to find these cases are garage sales, flea markets or thrift stores, which is where I found this one.
I converted it to look like the one on the bridge of the Defiant during season 7. The third picture is what one looks like in it's original form.

Do you know the designation/ # of the sonobouy tubes? A few of those would be fun to have around too! :D

They also used those same tubes in the Armory on Enterprise. IAW has auctioned off a few.

These would make some great luggage. They might get searched going through the luggage detector if you had the stickers on them.

Can someone help me identify these boxes. They are grey and made by Guident. I belive they might be for pacemakers and someone told me they were used in Star Trek.

Hope I can bring back this dead thread.

I tried to locate one of these for awhile with no luck. If you flip it on it's side it's kin to a cd shelving unit from Ikea - but who knows

Necro bump! Or in the case of Trek, would it be a Temporal Displacement? Either way, I've been focusing on Trek Props lately, especially Engineering and Medical tools and instruments. And with both of those you need carrying cases. So I've been scouring the 'Bay for different kinds of cases that are either canon or canon-like.

Here are my most recent acquisitions:

For O'Brien's tool kit:

For a DS9 weapons locker:

Where in the heck did you get that action packer!?! I've been hunting one of those for years! Great find. If you want any info on the O'Brien tool case let me know - I've done extensive research.

eBay, of all places. I was searching various keywords to try and find different containers to turn into trek props and typed in "action packer" on a whim, knowing that i wouldn't get anything but there it was.

Anyway, thanks for the offer to help on the O'Brien case. I've seen some of your posts on it with all the little tools and gadgets inside and would definitely appreciate some guidance.

Since Sulla requested a close up of the Action Packer's label, I went ahead and scanned it as a PDF. I'll just drop the link here for anyone else who might be interested:

I also scored an Action Packer off Ebay just the other day after seeing the details of the weapons locker here. This will be one of my first forays into it, but it seemed like a pretty straight forward prop. I do have some ideas on spicing it up, but that will be another thread. I'm also trying to score Cheif O'Brien's tool kit. We will see on that one. If it works I may have an alternate case number to search for!
