Wow! That level of detail... you are a master at this!

The molds work well. There is one annoying air bubble by the top of the button layout but that's pretty much it.

Time to paint one up! Also, I need to find a belt clip for the back...If anyone has found something suitable for that purpose, let me know!

Thanks for sharing the new updates. They look amazing!

Started painting the Walkman today.

First up, a pass of Krylon grey primer.

Then a light coat of Duplicolour metallic silver.

While scouring the paint aisles at my local hardware store I found a teal metallic blue that is fairly close to the real anodized colour on a genuine TPS-L2. Is it a perfect match? No, but it's close.

More to come!

How have you got the piece stuck to the stick? That's a much better way than my usual method of laying it flat on some newspaper!

Yes, I hot glued a small block of MDF to the back then took a paint stirring stick and attached it to the block. Makes painting much easier, since you can move the object around while you're painting for even coverage.

Re: Star-Lord Ensemble ( TPS-L2 finished on page 5 )

No pictures to show, but I have a bit of an update.

This weekend I started purchasing some of the soft parts of Quill's getup. Ordered both the jacket and the gloves on Ebay. As soon as the New Year arrives, I need to:

1) Finish my V2 helmet

2) Paint up Kevin Gossett's elemental blasters

3) Build Quill's belt buckle

4) Purchase or acquire the other soft goods (boots, pants, shirt)

5) Find an appropriate sling bag. I found one I like on Ebay but the seller had some mixed customer feedback.

There's a con in Calgary I'd like to attend with my full ensemble in April. Let's see if I can make it...

EDIT: bit the bullet and ordered the sling bag I found on Ebay. It's not very accurate, but for 30 bucks it'll do.

Yeah i bet the sling bag is the same one i got, i think i got mine for $25 on ebay and it shipped from china in just a few days. Not really accurate however like you said it would do. I will prob slowly change the details on it but it would be the last thing i make screen accurate. The strap is the main thing i want to change on it to be accurate other than that the rest will be the later project.

My thoughts exactly.

Are you by chance going to be selling these at all? I'm putting together a Star-Lord outfit for my husband and I would LOVE to have one of these! 0=)

I have a thread in the junkyard regarding resin TPS-L2's.

Re: Star-Lord Ensemble ( TPS-L2 finished on page 5 )

Received my jacket in the mail today, and I'm really liking the way it looks. I ordered an extra small, and it's still a little loose in some places, but not uncomfortably so. Maybe If I wasn't 5'7 / 150 pounds that wouldn't be a problem! :lol

Here's a pics.

The colour is less red and more brown, but I'm fine with that. Overall, I'm quite pleased with my purchase.

Which jacket did you get? I need to get one and I'm trying to figure out which is the bet for the money.
