Thank you! I never thought about searching the area for one! Totally found one not even 10mins from our house!
Do you know what the average price range/quote is for this specific mask?
I'm wondering if it's better to get it done personally or to find someone in the 'Junk Yard' who is selling one?(Not the finished piece, just the raw mask from the print.)
What would you suggest?

I don't know of anyone printing and selling these, so you're probably better off sourcing a printer. Prices range widely though, depending on the material used to print, what resolution you want it printed, how long the print takes... When I printed mine, it took at least 80 hours for all the parts. That will tie up someone's machine for some time, so it may cost a pretty penny.

Yea, I actually haven't seen any for sale, only 'Looking to Buy' threads.
That's disheartening to hear. I expected it to be a little pricey, but not /that/ bad.
All I want the print for is exactly how Crank used it. Use the raw mask/sculpt, mold and then cast for the actual product.

Just try uploading the file and you will see the price.
It will be expensive though. Its a big print. I'm done printing about 80% of the helmet myself and I'm at about 60 hours.

Does it take about the same time whether the machine is 'personal' or an 'industrial' one?
Like, home printers vs business printers?
Also, is your mask printed in individual pieces?
I figured it would be a few, but using Helagak's file, there seems to be many more pieces than what Clank has here.
I feel like you either have to know someone with a printer or just buy one at this rate. ;3;

Over the past few weeks, I've been slowly amassing some really nice ST pieces for my own personal collection to go alongside my helmet. Right now, I have the blasters en route to my house, and the walkman/Awesome mix. Thought I'd build the orb as well.

DISCLAIMER; This whole build is a carbon copy of a tutorial I saw on the RPF Facebook group. I don't remember who put together the tutorial, but props (get it?) to that guy!

First off, here's the orb.

And here's what I started with; A four inch styrofoam ball i grabbed from Michael's for 3 bucks.

All I needed to get started was a soldering iron and some reference pics.

Took me about 2 hours total to burn in all of the details & valleys. If you decide to try this yourself, I'd recommend a respirator while using the soldering iron. About ten minutes after I started burning, my head felt pretty weird.

Since I won't be molding this piece, the next step was to paint it! Before using any form of rattlecan paint on the ball, though, I spread a fine layer of of black acrylic paint over all of the bare styrofoam.

The solvents in spray paint would've melted this ball into a pile or goop; the acrylic layer acts as a divider between the spray paint and the styrofoam. I saw others using wood glue, but I imagine that would've been much messier.

That's where I am as of now. Hopefully i can finish it up in next few days. I know it's not very accurate, but it looks the part and thats all I really care about. More to come!

The orb is all painted and ready for display!

Here it is painted silver, without any weathering.

Great work on the helmet and orb. Thanks for the reference/technique photos. Getting ready to start my own build for Halloween.

Orb is finished! The satin clear coat made the colours darker than I would've like, but I can live with it. Maybe not the most accurate piece I've ever built, but considering it started out as a styrofoam ball...I'm satisfied with it.

On Monday, I received my blasters in the mail from TheRPF's own Kevin Gossett...and they are sweet! Can't wait to start making some progress on them.

I haven't seen any progress yet on the other kits I've sent out, so I'm looking forward to that!
