Hello Fellow Hunters, This is indeed very sad news, what can you really say??? what a loss, yes i totally agree, dear administrator’s could we please have a special place Dedication Area for the Master of the arts Mr Stan Winston

Oh my god, I have just received the news some moments ago... this is terrible!
The artistic community, his family and friends, - we all - suffered a great loss.
As with all of you here, he was... he still is one of the greatest idols in my life, and he will be dearly missed.
So sad.

I found out over at the sideshow collectibles forum first.
This is such a shame , his amazing creations will never be equaled.
He was a man of inspiration to millions , I was very happy to ear his passing was peaceful.
Rest in peace Stan.
I'm sure hes in a better place. Heaven will have some amazing movie effects to look forward too !.

What ticks me off is that the news has spent the last couple days talking about nothing but Tim Russert dying. And not one mention of Stan ANYWHERE on TV. Stan is a movie LEGEND. I had no idea who Tim Russert was (I hate politics) and never watched his show. Yet Stan has been around for decades making the most memorable Movie characters EVER! Stan deserves as much TV time as this Russert guy, if not more. I'm still shocked Stan passed. What is weird is I never met the guy, but I feel more saddened at his passing than some of my own relatives who have passed on.

RIP Stan Winston. I cant stop crying thinking of what life would be like if Stan Winston hadn't done the amazing things he did. Almost every movie I've ever loved he helped make real. I never met him, but i wish i had because all the stories you guys have told of how kind and humble he was. It will be such an honor to go to SDCC with you guys and show them just how huge of an impact he has made in our lives. My heart goes out to his family.

Well, we all know it isnt important to the Media blood hounds, and the "News" channels, because he wasnt known as a televised face. All his glory was from behind the camera, and in what he created. I kind of like the fact that the bloodsucking media isnt giving him a big story, because then he would be part of the statistics of cancerous growth, and they would probably go on about his illness more than what he has done, and created for all his fans, and love of monsters.
Im still sad about this (like may others). I wanted to get a chance to actually meet one of my favorite creators, but I never will get that chance. Im sure one day though, I will be able to create a suit, and name it Stan.

I'm feeling beyond sad brothers....can't shake the sadness. i never met him but i will always feel as many do like i lost a member of a family.
even though i never met him, I always thought one day I would...for those that did, you are very fortunate.
It would have ment the world to me to find out what he thought of the hunters lair and how we honored him and his creation(s).
Still trying to process the emotional loss i feel, along with the happiness i feel to have created this place and all we have done in his name.
we shall carry on the tradition of the iconic hunter with all our creations, stan will live forever in all of our works.
