Stan Winston's Passing

I was floored when i heard about this today....
Stan was and will always be a driving force in my life...
His imagination and creativity will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace Stan.

RTP, funny you should mention that....
Might I suggest that for the next year's worth of predator gatherings (WWC, SDCC, D*Con, etc) that we all wear a black arm band on our suits in honor of him? perhaps with the tri-target dead-center?
:)

I still can't believe he's gone..... and on father's day, no less.

Oh man... Im soooo crushed! :)

My respect, and condolences to his family, and friends. He was an inspiration to us all, and gave us some of the coolest creature creations ever to be realized on film.
He was a God amongst the living with all he's done for the geeks of this world, and his memory, and talent will always be remembered.

May he rest in peace, and may his legacy be an inspiration to those who follow in his footsteps.

Im gonna miss you Stan.

I just got back in town, log on, and the first thing I see is this. I had no idea he was even sick. I just cant believe it. This hurts.

would there be a way woudl could do a card for his family like we did for casey? Maybe with pics of all of the suits on the lair to show what an impact he was...

I'm shocked, nailed to the ground, flabbergasted, numb...

Stan, the man, the legend, the fanatic, the child in a full grown body... May you be in peace, and know we all love you.

My thought are with his family and friends, who now have a black void in their midst...

Your legacy of artistic creation and innovative characters will live forever. Thanks for all the years of inspiration. Rest in peace brother.

Here's a little tribute piece I just whipped up. That's Art on the left and Gene on the right from last year's Comic-Con. I'm just grateful some us got to meet him in costume.
Rest in Peace, Stan. We will miss you.

Here is one of the best days of my life. SDCC last year. A lifelong dream was filled that day when I got to met Mr. Winston and shake his hand.

He definately left his mark, It's late Monday evening and I've only just found out. Nice to read everyone else's comments as I guess we all feel the same. It does make sense to me now that he was ill as to why the studio props were being sold on profiles in history, at least he got to see his career book published and hopefully the studio will go on for a long time into the future.

I can't believe Stan the man is gone, and of all days he was plucked from our earth on fathers day. He will be missed greatly and my thoughts will go out to his family. R.I.P.
