I read in the junkyard that there may be another run of the studio scale TIE bomber kits by Backlot Studio soon. I want one. Anyone know any further info on this?

Thanks.

If he does, you guy's have to pick one up, I got mine a few years ago and it's top notch, the casting and detail is super sharp and extremely accurate. here's some photos of mine.

HOLY CRAP. Thanks for the pics, GF.
This is my favorite version of the TIE fighter...

I'd love to see more pics from other TIE bomber owners, if anyone cares to share. I'd love to see the cockpits, too. Anyone add lighting?

Heres mine, its the JMJ kit, not up to the standard of Rolandos but a great kit nontheless.
This is also my favorite TIE configuration.

some rereleasing action in store -

Guy's,

There is good news spreading in the Empire. As soon a Rolando gets the masters redone/fixed up, Backlot and NICE-N Model Designs will be releasing another run. Stay tuned.

Cool . Will the price be the same as then ?

$200 ish... will know when the molds are done and the materials and time are figured in. I'll post over in the junkyard when its ready.

Is it being remastered? Anything changing (other than the molds)? I have a first-run kit, just wondering. . . :)

We will be changing it just a bit to allow a studio accurate version with no cockpit and just the rod and wires and include a drop in cockpit as the first version had. The only difference. There will NOT be a base included in the kit as well.

Steve

That is GREAT news. Thanks for posting that update. I wish I could send my $ now. :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup
