You’re moving quite along on this. I found it helpful to use that top panel to figure out how far the tubes overlap the center block. When in enough, the edges of that panel (slightly tapered underneath) will touch both tubes.

I’ll also add, from someone who had to re-scribe their tubes, to dry fit (or use a few small drops of CA glue) some of your parts into the proper positions while the tubes are on the armature to make sure you locate your panel lines. It sucks having to go back and fill old panel lines and scribe new ones! You’re getting close to that, so trust me, it’ll save you some headaches!

Again, exciting to watch your progress on this build! Keep up the good work!

Progress for today, detailed work to draft out the front and reat centerblock plates. I was tryingto think of a way to hold the sat v parts level while gluing. I didn't want to ruin kit parts. I made a jig to hole everything level.

Thank you

Mapping out the panel lines, will help prevent mistakes. Thanks for the pointers Thibkaji. I intend to lay kit parts on the paper template to help with panel line accuracy. I love this kind of detail work.

I really like the template, great way to make sure things are fitting correctly.

Is this Lee part positioned correctly? It should only overhang the top of that Leopold part partway, flush to the fuselage body. Just want to be sure your positioning is correct.

Another template that might help is to cut out a 2” dia circle and divide it into 8 sections to represent the 8 cutouts, one of which aligns with the top Leopold part? That way you can be sure when you mount your actual front dish that it’ll be in the right spot.

Something like this, and the orange is where the Leopold part and Sd.Ah. 52 seat go. Just thinking of things I wish I’d done that would have saved me some headaches later.

I taped the resin front to the body to make sureI got the clocking correct. The M3 lee fender is not in the correct position I need additional fingers to hold all the parts....lol

Hello, I intiiallcut them 3/4 "tall then sanded to match the diameter of the 2 inch body tubes. It is basically trial and error to get them to match.
Thanks. I'm living vicariously through you guys, as my health keeps me from building these days. At least I can watch someone else do it, ; )
