SS Model Sketches/Ideas

I'm finishing up a studios space for myself and will finally have a place to make models again. I love the Studios Scale stuff but I want to scratch build some of my own designs. I won't be able to start making things till next month but wanted to show some of my ideas so far.

I still have a lot more designs I need to get on paper but here's the first things I have. I was initially influenced by the Countach and a model I saw from Space Precinct.

Thanks! It's actually a pediasure bottle. It's a kids nutrition drink. I have about 15 of them so I want to use it somewhere.

On that sketch with the Pediasure bottle just make the cap a long afterburner and it will fly!!:thumbsup

That way it distract from wht it really is!!:lol

Here's a rough outline of the ship I'm going to build. I am basing the measurements on a 4" Star Wars toy. Gigatron mentioned it was 1/18 scale. I'll mock it up in cardboard next and then do the rest of the views.

Thanks! I bought one of the Biggs Star Wars toys today and will use that for reference. I'll probably change out the arms and repaint it for the final figure.

I have to change up the cockpit a bit because the figure was too large for the sketch.

After seeing this full size and adding the side areas, I wasn't happy with the flow of the design. I redid it to make it more sleek. There will be 2 jet engines powering it.

Here is the side and top view of the ship. I'm going to try and mock up a mini one this weekend. The figure is a star wars 1/18 scale figure. I'm working on the bottom view now.

This ship is about 20" in length.

Starting on the engines, then the hull. I have some sketches of the bottom but haven't scanned them yet.

I started to blueprint the model and hope to be able to make a smaller cardboard version this weekend to see if I like the proportions. I finished the front view and made a couple of changes from the original sketch.
