The LED ignited Leia saber means there is another version of Leia's saber to replicate..... the Stunt version. I wonder what the differences are from the Hero version?

Pulled some screen caps of Rey's new saber, the Dark Rey stunt, and the unused table saber from the Skywalker Legacy BTS documentary. -

Most interesting to me were clear shots of the clip on Leia's saber. Also some more shots of the Dark Rey saber and info on magnets incorporated into the hinge design.

Yup. I'd say the clip is likely just to be compatible with Rey's costume as it has no d-ring hooks.
this is confirmation of a stunt and a hero... Tattooine shots show both sides and no clip.
so either two props, or the hero was modified to add the clip.
I feel like the clip was probably added for the one sequence where Rey has it on her belt. Like OnFire5210 said, Rey's costume doesnt have anywhere for a D-ring to clip.
They may have just added it to the hero prop for this sequence. Would be handy to know when the Tattooine bit was shot on the schedule.

I think the Tatooine shots were filmed pretty early, apparently they recreated the sets in Jordan when filming the Pasaana scenes (It's definitely not Tunisia). I saved this pic awhile ago, I think I found it on reddit:
I wonder if the final battle was part of the reshoots(?) it would make sense that the saber would be modded then!
That's not what I was saying, but that's a great point. Insert shots are often done later and/or with a second unit. So it literally could have just been for the 2-3 shots when Rey has it on her belt.
If it was done early like LOM says, then it would be the reverse. It was on there for the wide shots first, but then removed for the inserts and everywhere else we see it in the film (where it isn't).
Or as initially suggested, it was simply a second hilt.
grubs hold the clip on. So you'd see the tap holes. the tatooine scene shows both sides including the position it was at.
so either the clip was added after that scene was shot; or it is two hilts.
