I'm really interested in trying to either make this prop, sculpt it or something. I've got a few screen captures but I was Just wondering if someone else could throw in some better ones or maybe some size dimensions.

I'm working on this project, too. There's this lovely image at the BBC's website. Hope it helps.

My plan is to make it out of wood. I'm thinking I'll probably use a sign from a TARDIS builder site to get the measurements.

I would like one too and at least in my (spoiler free) opinion, the season was great. I loved the ending and while I saw some of it coming, there were definitely things I didn't expect. Even after I'd read spoilers.

I knew If I looked there would be others doing this Project I plan to put mine in a glass case next to my Hellboy Spear of Destiny reliquary case / tube. OOOOOO Maybe put a burned Sonic Screwdriver in it as well!
Im gonna use Balsa wood to make the frame and plastic card to do the letters to give it that raised look.

It almost looks like the letter is raised. Look at the "R" in the upper right section of the image

they definitely are raised - look at how the shadows they cast differ from shot to shot. Could be embossed maybe, like a licence plate?

Yeah its only been like this since the Tardis Regenerated like the Doctor did at the beginning of this season. Before it was just a paperish sign, but I gotta say I do like it better this way especially since the old girl is sporting her Saint John's Ambulance Badge again!

The only bad part is that I guess they made the sign semi-transparent, so if it's dark, you can see a sort of greenish light around the edges of the letters where I guess the material is thinner. I first noticed in early in the season when Amy was leaning her head back against the sign. It looked weird.

They backlit the sign in the 2010 TARDIS with EL Paper, just like the windows hence the glow..more noticeable in night shots but when amy was leaning against it and casting a shadow you could see it as well.

Did a little print test, comparing the BBC prop pics with the screengrabs, and I guess the shard measures about 6 1/2 inches by 5 inches. Thickness, maybe up to an inch?

Tried fixing the skew in the photo:

You can see how the sign plastic has bubbled due to the heat of the blowtorch used to scorch the wood. Also note the deep scorch mark on the screen used piece in the grab.

Also according to the folks on the TARDIS builders forum, the new sign is backlit acrylic, with raised lettering.

forgot about it being able to glow:confused I may have to make mine glow maybe even make it fade from bright to off and back just to give itan erriee look. It would be cool looking mounted in a case like a reliquary all glowie and such :lol.

Looks like the lettering is just stick on letters, that shouldn't be to hard to track down.
