Does any one know where I might get some acturate blueprints of Spock's station from TOS?? I am hoping to build one in the next few months and would rather not have to do it by trial and error! lol

I am currently in the planning stage of all the different materials I will need.

Any ideas would be greatly apprecaited!!

Thanks!

Not 100% accurate :D

I have the McMaster BP. But, I was told that they weren't real accurate. Those give good detail as far as some of angles, but doesn't show the size or length of the panels or the height of the consoles. Those are a good place to start! I just don't want to cut all the wood, build the structure and realize they are too large, small, long or short! lol

Feek61... I am sure we will be talking!!! lol

Thanks!!

I am in the process of re-building one of my old AMT TOS Command Bridge kits. As I have not been able to find any good accurization decal kits on the market that I like, I chose to design my own using a mixture of the McMaster blueprints, still images from the show, and some custom artistic design in Photoshop. I'm also looking to make the science station accurate so I'm snapping some images from the series as well as the McMAster images. They might not be 100%, but they're better than the kit. Is yours life size, or miniature?

It will be full scale.

Are you looking at the jewel light placement and their color? I would be interested in what you come up with if you are! :)

Yes, I'm trying to get a good image of all the bridge the stations and helm / navigation. Difficult to duplicate on a 1/35 scale, but I'll be creating the PS images in large scale so they're easy to accurize. Then I'll scale them down to scale to fit on the model pieces. I'll send you the JPG images when I get them complete.

I'm splitting my hobby time between this bridge and a TOS E model I'm lighting.

Yes, I came across that website the other day. I haven't had a chance to go through all the pics, but the few I saw were great.

Love the "behind the scene" ones!! GREAT STUFF!!

You are lighting TOS Enterprise model?? Do you have a link?? Would love to see what you are doing!

I have a web site containing all my model work - I have a few other threads on the forum. My main site is www.ncc1017.com.

A direct link to the bridge work is here:

I have to snap some pics of my recent work - cutting out all the display squares for the computer screens. Want to do that this evening. Amazing how bad this model looked when I first found it. Do you have any work started on yours yet? Are you planning the science station only in full scale, or other parts of the bridge?

Wow! Looks like you did a LOT of work!! Why did you not just buy another Bridge model??

I built one of those years ago with some additional after market parts added to it. If you are intertested, I will look up the pics I have of it. Right now it is in storage. Keep in mind, I am not THAT great at model building. :)

Thanks. It's a great way to spend some free time when it's too hot and humid to do much else.

I decided to break out and tear apart my old models and re-make them to look the way they should. I had not done any modeling at all in over 25 years, so it is also a good warm-up process for me. I have bought new TOS E models, and have another bridge model also built up - slightly better than this one was originally, but will look like junk when this one is done. With the creation of the display panels, and nice fiber optic lighting, this bridge will be a serious conversation piece. I'm also making a box to surround it and enclose the lighting components.
Yes, if you have any pics of yours, I'd love to see them.

Well, heck! I have looked FREAKIN everywhere for my Bridge Model pic's and can't find so much as ONE! Arrhhgg! Unfortunately, my model is in storage until I sell my house so I cannot take any new pic's of it.

Sorry!

Those darn house sellings really take free time away from the more important things, don't they???

No prob. Take a look at my lighting progress. Temporarily backlit it with a flashlight for the picture. Have to tripod the camera tomorrow to get clearer images.

Are you going to have graphics behind all the display panels?? I am looking forward to seeing it!

yup. I have graphic displays in all of the computer display squares now. I'm cutting out the viewscreen and ship plaque displays on the turbolift today and will assemble the whole kit for a try-out. Right now, they look great and I'll get some nice pics of it to post. I'll also post a sample image of the graphic I created with the display images. This is coming out so well, I'm thinking of fine tuning my graphic into an accurizing kit.

I've got a miniature viewer (used Spock's station) made and am crafting a mini computer component for his station as well. Going to take a shot at backlighting them, too.

Wow, now you're doing the Spock station? Did you sell off your transporter or are you going to squeeze both in the living room?

I have a copy of the Desilu Studios blueprints some where From when I was in charge of building the Star Trek Excalibur Bridge. Ill see if I can dig em up for ya I know I have em scanned they are in one of my external drives.
