Interest Spates Catalog by Magnoli Props

A square shape for the book might be an interesting way of setting it apart from Tobin’s or even other books for that matter. I have this one that is quite unique.

Personally, I'd love to see an article on either Janos Skorzeny from "The Night Stalker" or Dr. Richard Malcolm/Malcolm Richards from "The Night Strangler."

It's mentioned in the novelization of "The Night Strangler" that when asked if Malcolm is the Count of St. Germain, he laughs ironically, but does not deny it. I've wanted to see a Kolchak/Ghostbusters cross-over for a long time, so this would be really neat.

Is there anyway you can give us some guidelines on the article layout you’re looking for. How many words you’re looking for, small articles, long articles, movie specific related or anything monster sci-fi horror. Can it be original?do you need pictures, etc. I’ve got a good jump on mine and wonder is I’ve gone too far, or not enough. Maybe put it on the first page

Also if no one’s taken jumanji I’d like to tackle that one as well. The original takes place in 1969 with Alan’s disappearance and I think it may work here

I'll put you down for Jumanji! Just keep in mind the publication is 1969, so keep it strictly to Alan's disappearance (or maybe even leave that out and JUST do an article about the game itself?)

Here are the guidelines for articles (which I'll add to the first post):

Guidelines for submitting an article:

Articles should be written with a slightly sensational tone, less academic and more over-the-top. If you have troubel with the tone you can use ChatGPT to rewrite your article in the "voice" of H.P. Lovecraft, as an example. The final publication date is 1969, so all articles must pre-date this.

Topics can range from anything supernatural such as ghosts, demons, hauntings, curses, etc to more corporeal entities such as monsters, animals and such. We'll have sections on "Strange and Amazing People", "Unexplained Events", "Magic Artifacts and Relics" as well as "Other Topics" if you have some ideas for something on the fringe. You may provide artwork, illustrations, photographs, etc if you have them but, if not, we can often find something to suit. Below is a rough idea of word count depending on how many pages and illustrations you'll have included with the article:

One page article with single image: 600 words
One page article with no images: 850 words
Two page article with three images: 900-1000 words
Two page article with one large image: 1300 words

Please contact me via PM or e-mail and we can discuss your topic. We cannot guarantee to use everyone's articles and there is a good chance that it'll have to be modified in some way to fit into the sizing of the page.

I've also updated the article list on the first post with user names who are doing each article. If there is no name next to an article and you'd like to write it, shoot me a PM and I'll put you down.

What about the Beast Of Fang Rock from Doctor Who Horror Of Fang Rock. It's a story about a monster/ghost that is tied to a Lighthouse. The story could be the legend from the episode without including the events from the episode, or could include the events shown in the episode. That would be a cool story to have.

We're up to about 42 pages at the moment with over a dozen articles inserted with photos, illustrations, etc. The layout is a bit fiddly to get right, but the end result is quite good looking and very different from Tobin's, so worth the effort, I think. We're coming up with more and more article ideas, so keep those ideas coming.

Here's a little teaser of the general look...

Just throwing out a couple of suggestions, not sure if either fit the brief but it'd be great to see articles on:

Spring-heeled Jack
Solomon Grundy
