So there has been a few Spartans posted up here lately and I thought I may as well pop my attempt up from FACTs in Belgium last year. I decided to do this as it was the only costume I could bring over without incurring alot of extra luggage charges 
(the spear brakes down into 5 parts) and I gave myself about 10 weeks to get it done (alot of help from the wife!)
Armor is from Seeker on the 300DC, Helmet is from Tim Allen, Sword and Spear tips are from Saxe Coburg, cape/spardos/sandals/leather/spear shaft/sword leather and painting done by myself and the wife.
We made her costume a few days before we left for Belgium and was of her own design with elements from concept drawings she seen online.
Step one...diet! I had never gone on a proper diet to get rid of fat so ten weeks (and a holiday near the end of the diet didnt help :S)
Then the event, I REALLY regret not getting a fake tan on the day as I am pale enough (first pic is the only one I look dark ish in) as it is and the lights (esp the studio pics) really made me glow and wash out my miniscule ab.
Either way it was great fun and next time I will prepare a lot earlier.
