Hello,

My name isDustin and I’m trying to build a space marine costume. My design is inspired bysylgian's build. I have pepakura files and I have already made a helmet. (Illadd photos later) I'm now trying to make the rest of it out of foam; my helmetis made out of cardstock. I have my stilts made and I’m started on the boot. I’mnot sure if I used the right files or not but they are not coming out how Iwould like the too. If anyone has foam files they are willing to share id appreciateit. I will post some pictures of what I have so far tomorrow.

Re: Space Maine Foam Build

UPDATE:

I got a shin piece put together and it looks like its going to be small. The files I am using are from this site. my question is do I have to re-mesure the pieces to fit or should I be able to just print it and go. here are the pics. any advice would be very much appreciated.

Now I am 6 foot tall and they come up to my thigh and that's with out the stilts. did I get the wrong files or does it look right. what is your thoughts.

Watch your print I use borderless to print, compared to A4 size.. and its not print and go I made a few tests see what worked for me..

I have 23" see what yours is, to scale larger or smaller.? Mine is lowest point is 1" off the ground resting on boots.. Hope this helps.

Nice work! I made a couple of helmets out of foam, but ended up going with a resin/fiberglass one instead. I'll be watching your progress! Mockle is doing a fantastic SM, but he's taking frickin' forever. ;)

Just kidding there Mockle ol buddy. Perfection takes time.. :)

Here they are they come up to my waist and thats with it on the ground. ill get a pic of me beside them. the foam is sandable thankfully. i still have to redo the one boot or modifi it. i think with the right spaceing they will look right.
