somebodys recasting my tie pilot wings

Sorry to hear this. I don't know anything personally about them other than they are known recasters. I first heard about them on another board when I was looking for the Mad Max MFP badge.

I've seen the "badge" on their site and it's crap.

To all RPF members. If you see something on here, buy it on here, enjoy it and keep it out of recasters reach.......sorry rant over.

Being a newbie still, I am beginning to understand the recasting thing. I don't understand why some would buy casts of the food containers on that site when the pens are cheap...weird.

WOW! Great prices, I'm gonna have to buy a few things from them! Thanks for the link....

JUST KIDDING!!!!!!!

Send him/her a cease and desist notice via registered mail. You could also give them a phone call.

Didn't a member here have the license for the Galaxy Quest Vox?

He has a few on the site. I wonder if they are recast,

Remember to report and check for updates on recasters at propsafe.
http://s1.zetaboards.com/propsafe/index/

So I would suggest you note your recast wings there.

I try to collect information on recasters and in a conversation with this site they tell me they have a 2 week turn around time before they ship a prop so the resin can cure. I asked what kind of resin takes 2 weeks to cure and the follow up reply was that they pour as they have time as this is just part time for them. Emails are never signed so I have no names.

If they are in Mexico don't even think of buying from them.

i dont care who he is
i feel bad that somebody may not know that there are better options.
not just for the wings but for all that stuff.

I almost bought a few things from them but their prices seemed really low and some of the paint job's are the worst!
If you find out a name let me know...I used to be a P.I. so tracking down a phyisical address shoould'nt be to much of a problem...want me to look in to it? P.M. me if you do.

I don't know why but every time I see a thread about someone having their work recast, I can't get the bully's laugh (from the simpson's) out of my head.

But in all seriousness I think you should definitely let this person know you do not approve of what they are doing.

Think about something that really makes you made for like half an hour then pick up the phone and let him have it, we don't get enough opportunities to behave poorly, this guy is begging for it (y)thumbsup:thumbsup

OK I have their phone number and address'for them...even have pics of them for a hall of shame wall if you like :love :angry

I know next to nothing about making props, but clicking on some of those pictures makes me sad. They're so clunky looking. That said, I'd love an $8 sonic screwdriver. Not buying one though.
