Some quick pics of my Luke Bespin & Sandtrooper

Just popped off a few real pics quick since I'm getting my costumes situated on mannequins.....finally. The Luke is done, but the Sandy still needs weathered on the armor..helmet is done. I have a backpack/MP40 pouches, but he's still in the test fit stage which I think I have perfected. I'm doing the "Move Along" Sandtrooper, (which I know has an E11), and I really like him with the DLT19. Not to mention that I need my E11 for the Snowtrooper:love

Hope you guys like the pics!

Looks amazing, youve got the brow trim just right on the trooper :thumbsup Luke looks great against that bespin style wall!!

Thanks guys....I caught that kneeplate right after I took the pic....luckily it's only on there with duct tape, as are the handplates :lol

The wall panels are made from 3/4" MDF. I made a two templates, one for the shorter panes and one for the longer ones. I measured and traced out the pattern and then went to town. They are backed with styrene light panels cut to fit from the backside. Someday, maybe, if the spirit moves me to, I'd like to light them from the back with some form of lighting.

ebay.....they're all in their original static position. I just heat the hands to do what (within reason) I want since they're made from a plastic rather than fiberglass. I've had to bubble wrap them up for bulk in certain areas to better fit the costume. The Sandtrooper needed some sanding on the arms to better fit the armor peices, but otherwise they're "original".

I haven't paid over $150 shipped for one yet....I just watch and wait for the right one with the right pose with the right price. No particular seller as I've used three sellers (I think) and have 4 mannequins....just one more to go!

Great job on the bespin costume. Did you make it yourself? I am wanting to make one. Could you share types of materials you used and any paterns you drew from? Thanks! Again, great job!

Thanks for the kudos :) I didn't make it myself however. I've had this for years, only recently being able to display it. I had it custom made for me from Katarra Kreations back in '99. Last I heard, she was out of the costuming game for quite some time.

I can take some closeup pics if you'd like since I don't really have any other info. on how it was made.

Man I wish Katarra was still around, I love that suit. I need to get to work on my second version of mine.
