hi there would members be so kind as to suggest good mixture for latexing the body suit and airbrush paint mixtures...

ive read a few...

for the body suit i was gonna use, liquid latex, latex thickner, white acrylic paint...

ive seen the perma wet mention or liquitex gloss and varnish here in the uk... im gonna order some but can i get away with out using it in the general coverings.. until the order of it arrives??

for airbrushing...

liquid latex, acrylic paint, liquitex gloss and varnish, and water to thin it...

can members please put there suggestions and mixtures in parts i.e 3 parts latex to 1 part paint to 1 part water etc

for both latexing and airbrushing...

thank you all those that can help in advance!!!

:D

looking to start latexing when i get up (4am here atm)

can anyone say if it'd be ok to start latexing the body suit without using the liquitex gloss and varnish medium? (perma wet)

so it'd be liquid latex + thickener + white acrylic paint...

when I gave Macguyvers Mr I suit method a go, I just rolled on straight latex to the bodysuit without thinning it with anything for the first coat. the 2nd and 3rd coats I used an HVLP gravity fed spray gun I used for repainting our mustang, also straight latex. So as far as latexing the suit, I'd say you'd be good to go with just liquid latex maybe dyed with a little white paint. Generally paint gets mixed with the permawet or latex to help the paint adhere to latex, but fabric is totally different. Latex will bond like crazy to your fabric musclesuit without any aid at all.

Anything beyond that I can't really give any good ratio's, as I've found what works for one color/medium may not work for the other, so each color and step is a seperate mixing process for me until I get the right consistency and flow. Plus, the pressure you spray at will be a factor in it's composition, at least for me.
