Guys i've managed to get some pep files for warhammer space marine...
now a friend of mine has a router and well the thing is this.

can pdo files be converted to CAD files...

any help at all guys..
cheers

Yes and no. :lol

Do you want to just cut out the flat patterns on a CNC rig, or are you looking to actually carve the completed 3D shape?

Both are theoretically possible, but both would require quite a bit of effort to achieve.

Ah, OK :)

Pepakura Designer (not the free Viewer program) can export PDO files to a number of different formats, including DXF. In theory, the DXF version could be imported into a CAD program, tweaked as needed, and then converted into whatever format your friend's router needs (probably G-code.)

Another option would be to export the file in the EPS vector format. I believe there are some CNC packages that can natively import that - VCarve, maybe? My memory is a little hazy on this stuff. Maybe someone else will read this and confirm or correct me. :)
