Some clown using my pics at ebay

Will this one work for you?

Item description and picture theft

About two-thirds of the way down the page you can click to "Report a member using your text or images without permission."

The page that opens does ask you to "Enter your item number from which picture or text was copied," but it also gives you the opportunity to describe the items that were used without your permission. Maybe you can submit the form without having filled in the box for your own item number.

Worth a try, anyway.

Good luck!

Thank you very much guys. The form needs you to "Enter your item number from which picture or text was copied", otherwise you won't be able to continue.

The seller contacted me and maybe we can work it out.

Thanks for all the help.

And the finished picture is my arnold bust I sold to Houdinyguy...you can even see part of my collection and TV in the background...

I have just a though for you to consider. It is possible that he found those photos on the web and on someone elses website and got permission from them not knowing the true origin of the photos.

You may want to contact the seller and let him know those are your original photos and kindly ask him to remove them before going straight to ebay with both guns a blazzin.

I've had that happen to me before and the seller removed them and sent me an appology.

The seller told me that he bought the item three years ago and does not remember from whom. It could also have been me (but it wasn't). The only problem I have with this is that the item might be misrepresented by not showing the pictures of the ACTUAL item for sale. Otherwise I really don't care as I still have the pictures on the web.

There are tons of auctions on ebay everyday where the item being sold is not the actual item pictured because they use stock photographs and it's totally ledgidimate. As long as when the buyer receives the item(s) and they look the same, in the end, what does it really matter?

Do you think I don't know that? It is true for items like TVs or the like but not for a prop replica. These could differ a lot. I am wondering why are you peeing on my ship? :confused

Thomas

I wasn't "peeing on your ship". It was more retorical than an actual question. I was only offering some food for thought or a perspective that may have been overlooked. No insult or disrespet was intended.

But to be fair, the same thing can be said for prop replicas.

For example:
On roddenberry.com in their prop replica and kits section, they show "stock photos" of completed replicas and kits that aren't the actual pieces you'll receive.

I've run into this, too, with my BSG-75 schematics and my BSG Rank Devices and Decorations charts. Nothing can really be done about it, unfortunately.
