Limited Run SOLO: Sabacc deck (new run)

Mine came today! Very excited. Well worth the wait. Mine also happened to be dropped off at the same time as a few parts for my Mudd trooper build! My Plash Palatka and Yugo pouches. It was like early Christmas or late birthday!

Thanks!!!!

Received mine today. Thanks a lot Daan!
Very nice cards - although there's a noticeable (quality) difference to the previous runs.
The higher cards can be distinguished from the lower when in the pile and the surface of the cards is somehow duller.

Mmm, that was also my first impression when I got them: that they were not as normal playing cards (which are a bit glossier, have a more smooth surface), but I can not compare with cards from the previous run, since I don't have a set of those.

I do like that the set fits my card holder prefectly, though. I picked the holder up on the RPF and it was designed for a deck of the very first run. I heard that the decks of the next runs were thinner, so I expected these to be thinner too, but they turn out to have just the perfect heigt (so similar to the very first run, it seems).

In my deck, I had three damaged Sylop cards, a damaged "3-green-dot" card, and my "2-red-dot" card was missing... :(. I hope to get replacements for the damaged cards and the 2-red-dot card soon...

Just picked mine up from the post office. First impression is really good. I’ll update when I’ve had a chance to look at all the cards. My son and I are excited to play an actual game of Sabacc!
Thanks again to Daan for putting in the work and then sharing with the rest of us.

I was able to fetch my cards today and I have to second TomVDJ. My red 2 of dots is missing as well and the green 3 of dots is torn. The Sylops are fine though.

Got my cards. They had been sitting at the post office for 6 days. I had a delivery slip in my front door, but whoever uses those? LOL

Overall I am happy with the cards. Though for the price I was expecting playing card quality, as in linen cards with PVC backing. These are simply printed on big sheets of cardboard, laser cut and punched out.

Since they are just cardboard, I am afraid that they will not last very long if I use them to actually play Sabacc with.

They are the same quality as the cards from Galaxy’s Edge which are also just printed on cardboard. However these are slightly larger in size and do not have the annoying Toydarian on the back.

I made a deck case for them. Balsa wood, cutting, gluing, sanding, staining, painting and aging and I’m happy with how that came out.

And one more picture with my chips that I’ve been making for the set.

Glad that I'm not the only one where a card is missing ;). The green 3 dots card is not torn, but creased in my case. Not too bad, though. The Sylop cards are much more damaged.

It would indeed have been nice if the cards would be playing card quality, but since I will only use them for display, it's not a huge issue for me. I wonder if the first runs of these decks were the same quality as this last run, or were those actually playing card quality?

The first run was playing card quality.
The current cards (left) are really not bad but not as good as the former ones (right).

I will say that is my one gripe about the deck. I wish it was playing card quality. As the Han Solo Card Game has the Star Wars log on it and the Galaxy's Edge deck are hard to shuffle and play with, I was hoping this would be a movie accurate deck I could actually play with. Though this deck is fine to shuffle I feel actually playing with them will damage them long term. Instead they will sit on my display shelf and hopefully I can fine a good accurate deck I can play with.
