I think you could make it more accurate with a wheel switch and rub-on transfer text.

You can harvest the wheel switch from an old walkman. The rub-on transfer letters are available at craft stores.

Yeah I just gave up on the text because it turned out to be really difficult to do, what would i be using the wheel switch for? and how?
