So where do the resin lightsabers come from anyway?

Over the years I have seen people show off their resin copies of sabers that would otherwise be kind of hard to come by. But I have never seen them for sale anywhere.

Except this one guy on ebay, but that turned out to be a scam, no one got what they bought.

I also lost money trying to get a resin dooku from the same guy with a separate account on ebay.

But I have looked around for at least Dooku and Sidious resin sabers for a while now. So, does anyone here know where they are sold?

I've seen them for sale from cons in the PA/MD area from a guy that does sale on EBAY but I can't remember his name. But I've heard more than once the guy is a recaster.

When I use to collect them I bought all mine on eBay, there were a lot around a few years ago. Some were harder to find then others (like Dooku) but I did see them.

I would but a WTB thread in the Junkyard, never hurts.

Got a dooku on ebay after which I was told BY ebay to not pay him as he was booted...but I had it already.
Got a sidious here. I believe the guy was banned eventually(all MR castings).

Some of them were casts of sabers worked up by people. A lot of em were casts of MR sabers.

The ones that are white resin covered in grey primer were all MR recasts. (the ebay guy)

I myself have a nice collection of resin sabers, most of them were obtained before MR started.

Te ebay ones I have seen turned out to be totally fake scams. So I have not trusted much from there since most of them use the exact same pics the scammer used. But it is incredibly rare to see any resin sabers there at all anyway.

But I see the occasional resin Dooku so somebody out there is producing them.

I just got a resin AOTC Anakin saber off the bay. Not sure of its pedigree, its 1.5 inch, not 1.25, but it makes a nice wall hanger with the other sabers I have. Within the last week Ive seen 3 resin sabers for sale here in the JY. Theyre out there, and not that hard to find.

Yes, Adamata just sold 3 unfinished and of varying quality just recently for cheap. 2 Obi's and 1 QuiGon from TPM.

I also saw a Mace & Dooku sold that looked to be really well made a few days ago.

They pop up in the JY, you usually just have to be quick about grabbing them.

I think you are referring to Arsenal Models. I do believe their resin sabers are MR recasts. I have a few of their products (not lightsabers). Some things are OK, some are really rough.

Arsenal Models frequents many of the MD cons and they have the sabers. You can find them on the web and send them an email for a list of their products. I bought a Colonial Marines VP-70 from them a year back. Took some clean up but turned out fairly well.

I don't know if Arsenal Replicas is still in business. They don't seem to be responding to emails right now.

What kind of stuff did they sell?

Well, you see, when two adult lightabers love each other very much . . .

There is a seller on E-Bay doing sabers Cool Models I know nought about sabers soooooooo if someone takes a look?:angel

I'd say probably because the people who get stuff from him either know it's going to need a lot of work but are willing to deal with it because it's cheap or have no idea that good stuff is available.

You can look at some pics and see how much work will be required and I know of several pieces that look like straight out copies, although not as good, of Wilco! Models kits.

Well I will take that as read from someone who obviously knows sabers Thanks:angel

:lol I know there are many others that know sabers better than me, and I'll be honest, the pics of his sabers look pretty good, but pics of some of his other stuff look like really bad casts. He has a lot of kits that aren't available anywhere else at that price that would be great to have if the quality was better and if he had done the originals himself. As is, I can't knowingly deal with a re-caster. His Logan's Run Sandman gun looks to be an exact copy of Wilco's.
