So what is this - on the Klingon D-7?

Slowly working on my CC D-7. Looking through my refernce pics I see some little nubs at the outboard rear on the wings & just aft of the step on the command deck. To mee they look like they may be brads or pins that the effects guys would have tied fishing line off to and fly the ship in front of the screens. Anybody got any definitive information or a clearer pic of this area?

Also Interesting - I think I see them on the Roddenberry Model but not in the Smithsonian pics?

Yes I think they are brads. And they are on the Smithsonian model. I read an article that had pics of the model when it arrived at the NASM, being held by someone wearing white gloves. The brads were visible, and the right up said that one still had a piece of wire attached.
