I'm making a lifesize Hellboy for a local movie theater for the opening weekend and I've got everything figured out except for the tail. Actually, I forgot all about it until someone asked me how I was going to do it. Oh, yeahhhhh, the tail.
I have no idea. :lol
You'd think it wouldn't be that hard to do, right?
Yeah, not so much. So any ideas you guys may have please throw them out there, because as of now, I've got nuthin':cry

YOu could sew the shape inside out out of red or other color fabric, like a tube, turn it inside out, stuff it, use wire if ya want , stipple latex on it and paint it w liquitex paint from Michaels.
Or you could tint the latex w a bit of the liquitex and no need to color.

Hey, those are pretty good ideas! I'm on it! :thumbsup
Thanks, guys.

I made Kit Fisto tentacles out of regular latex. I sculpted a shape with water clay over a rough wireform and made a mold in plaster. Then I slush cast the latex and when it was cured I stuffed the tentacles with foam/batting. You could do the same with the tail but also add a wire inside to give it a "bend."
