Hey guys,

Haven't been on RPF for a while, and here we have a mini-convention about 15 minutes from my house. I don't have any charity gigs that day so I can stop by and bring my robotic Herbie or the Bond BMW to show in the parking lot. Nothing hand-size of interest to bring, all I have is a bunch of unfinished Bond gadget shells waiting for me to program the electronics. Would be fun to chat with a few of the guys about some silicone foam rubber moulding, I need to make up a bunch of flexible tyre spikes for the BMW pretty soon and have no idea where to start once I have my CNC guy make me a mould.

I've been deciding on what to bring and at the urging of my friend who might attend, I will bring my Third Watch stuff. I was also planning on bringing some pictures like I did last time at the SD Prop Party.

The Facility where I work is Closing down and as of monday,I am now unemployed.
Add that to mrs.slave1pilot being on disability that will run out at the end of this month and you'll see why we really can't go.

I'm in for the Disneyland trip, I just need to drop off my props at home beforehand. The new Who theme sounds so much like the space mountain music, I have to bring my zune and headphones and try it out.

It's a cheap thing to do on a Saturday. Other than the $17, "it don't cost nothin'."

...and I don't think anyone would begrudge you the $17, just to have you show up.

we already paid, It's the gas money to and fro and mrs.slave1pilot really can't ride in the car for long periods of time.
It's about 2 hrs each way.
and...
we're pretty defeated and bummed out right now, gonna just spend some time together and get some things worked out.
