Snowtrooper "duster" / Mukluks / soft parts????

Does anyone make the soft parts needed for doing a Snowtrooper costume?? Is there any off the shelf items commonly used that is considered "accurate"??

Also, what's the deal on "Mukluks"....are the sizes typically listed inteneded to be worn with shoes on while wearing the Mukluks?? I'm under the impression that Mukluks go over existing shoes.

Ex.: If I wear a size 12US shoe, does that mean for me to just wear a Mukluk with only socks on, I should downsize to a 10?

I'm on a mission to get a full Snowtrooper and the soft parts are the only thing I've yet to figure out.

Nope, mukluks fit like any other boot or shoe, I can confirm this because I own a pair and wear them outside, you do not have to wear a boot or shoe under them. That's just heresay.

The mukluks have a shell and an inner felt liner. The sizing is the same as a typical boot.

I see boxes of these mukluks being sold at Gov't auctions as they are Canadian military issue winter gear. Problem is you can't just buy one pair, you have to buy a pallet of them.

Thanks guys...so even if I removed the inner felt liner would I be OK wearing my typical size 12? I shouldn't drop down a size to an 11?

I'm on the list to get registered for "blizzardforce", so I'll check around with the members mentioned when I get there :thumbsup

There is a member there named "cleverlilminx" that makes one. Looks to be pretty good too. She makes them in different materials and the price isn't bad either. I'm probably going to be getting mine from her.

I just wanted to say thanks for the name dropping here. :D

This guy's quite cool and always refreshes his sizes every so often. Keep checking or ping him if your size isn't on there.
Even if it isn't they are kinda like small medium large and will need a liner (or you may break your ancle) I just put a liner into mine and can now storm echo base anyday... :)

As for the duster, again blizzardforce.net is the home of snowies on the web
