Snow White and the Huntsman: Ravenna's wedding dress

Another user (danielfoez) was nice enough to send me his pictures of Ravenna's wedding dress and asked that I upload them here, so here they are! I believe I have all of them in my Pinterest board for it as well: Ravenna Costume

The shoulder cage is the last part I'm nervous about. My plan right now is heavy paper and a ton of Mod Podge, but if anybody has better suggestions, I'd love to hear them!

Wow this dress is a work of art. I have to get off my ass and see this movie. Thanks for sharing these great reference pics (and thanks for danielfoez for getting them in the first place) Hope you are done wrapping all those findings soon

No advice on the cage, but if it's really glazed parchment paper like you say then paper is probably the way to go. Unless you sculpt, cast in resin, then glue it all together I don't think it will be easy to get that transparent look with anything else. Maybe search origami sites to see if they have any similar techniques?

I'm just not quite sure how the "glazing" part works. This is outside my usual crafty purview. A foam brush and a lot of Mod Podge?

I finished wrapping the wire pieces last night! 216 of the little buggers. I need to upload some new pictures.
